How to Reinstall a Portable Toilet

Admin October 09, 2026

Reinstalling a portable toilet requires specific steps based on its type, with core procedures including checking components, connecting pipes/circuits, and securing the main body. For complex situations, adjusting pipes or contacting professionals may be necessary.

I. Steps for Reinstalling a Basic Portable Toilet

  1. Check Component Integrity After unpacking, verify that all components such as the sewage pipe, water inlet pipe, electric wire (for electric models), and sealing gaskets are present to avoid installation interruptions due to missing parts.
  2. Connect Pipes and Circuits
    • Align the sewage outlet with the sewer pipe, ensuring a proper and sealed fit to prevent leaks.
    • Connect the water inlet pipe to the tap water network, using the provided hose and tightening the connection to prevent loosening.
    • For electric models, connect to the power supply, ensuring voltage compatibility and grounding protection to prevent short circuits or electric shock risks.

II. Steps for Reinstalling a Dual-Purpose (Squat/Sit) Toilet

  1. Secure the Toilet Body Align the center of the toilet flange with the center of the sewer pipe, using bolts or sealant to secure the body and ensure stability without wobbling.
  2. Assemble the Water Inlet and Spray Head System
    • Install the angle valve and connect the three-way pipe between the water inlet and the spray head, tightening the water inlet hose to prevent leaks.
    • When assembling the spray head, ensure the sealing gasket fits perfectly, connect it to the other end of the three-way pipe, and test the water pressure to confirm no leaks.
  3. Secure the Spray Head Bracket Insert the bracket into the top of the three-way pipe, adjust the angle, and secure it with adhesive to prevent movement during use.

III. Adjustment Methods for Relocation

  1. Short-Distance Relocation (≤400mm) When using a relocator, chisel out 20~40mm of the floor slab, embed the relocator, then recast the floor, apply a waterproof layer, and lay tiles, ensuring a reasonable drainage slope.
  2. Same-Floor Drainage Adjustment Replan the pipes by lowering the floor slab or raising the ground, reserving inspection ports for future maintenance.
  3. Inter-Floor Drainage Adjustment Negotiate with the downstairs neighbor to modify the sewer pipe at their ceiling or switch to a wall-mounted drain, involving property approval and professional construction. Self-operation is not recommended.

Precautions:

  • Relocation may increase the risk of blockages. Prioritize short-distance relocation or consult the brand's customer service.
  • For complex models (e.g., smart toilets), contact after-sales service for installation videos or manuals to avoid damage from improper operation.
