How to Put Bags on Portable Toilets

Admin September 28, 2026

The methods for putting bags on portable toilets vary depending on the type. Here are the specific steps for common types:

Simple Folding Portable Toilet

This type of toilet consists of a foldable frame and disposable bags, and the operation is relatively simple. When using it, first fully unfold and fix the foldable frame to ensure it is in a stable state. Then, select a dedicated garbage bag that fits the frame and directly place it on the frame, allowing the bag to hang naturally and cover the entire collection area. When placing the bag, make sure to flatten the opening of the bag to avoid wrinkles or twists and prevent the leakage of waste. After placing it, gently press the bag to make it fit more closely with the frame.

Bucket-Type Portable Toilet

For a bucket-type portable toilet, a garbage bag needs to be laid inside the bucket. First, choose a garbage bag of the appropriate size to ensure it can fully cover the inner wall of the bucket. After unfolding the garbage bag, carefully place it inside the bucket so that the bottom of the bag is in close contact with the bottom of the bucket. Then, evenly fold the edges of the bag over the outside of the bucket. You can use clips or ropes to fix the edges to the bucket body to prevent the bag from slipping during use. When fixing, ensure that the edges of the bag are flat and there are no loose parts.

Camping Folding Toilet

When putting a bag on a camping folding toilet, a black garbage bag is usually used. First, unfold the camping folding toilet and place it in a suitable position. Then, completely cover the entire toilet with the black garbage bag to ensure that all parts of the toilet are wrapped by the garbage bag, serving the purpose of isolation and hygiene. During the process of putting on the bag, pay attention to adjusting the position of the garbage bag to make it fit closely with the toilet and avoid gaps.

Ordinary Bedpan

Prepare a bedpan, tape, scissors, and a plastic bag. If the plastic bag is small, first use the scissors to cut off about two inches of tape. Stick the upper end of the plastic bag and the top of the bedpan with the tape to ensure a firm attachment and prevent the plastic bag from falling off. Also, stick the lower part with tape, and then stick the left and right sides of the plastic bag and the bedpan firmly. After sticking all four sides of the plastic bag and the bedpan, use your hands to expand the plastic bag inside the bedpan to form a relatively independent collection space.
