How to Move the Toilet Doorway Quickly
If the walls on both sides of the toilet doorway can be removed and are non-load-bearing walls, rapid adjustment can be achieved by sealing the original door and moving the doorway horizontally. Here are the specific operation steps and precautions:

Operation Steps
Confirm the Wall Nature
It is necessary to confirm through the property management or professionals that the walls on both sides of the doorway are non-load-bearing walls. Non-load-bearing walls are usually thinner (about 10-15 centimeters), and are mostly made of lightweight bricks or gypsum boards. Removing them does not affect the safety of the building structure. If they are load-bearing walls, removal is strictly prohibited, as it may lead to serious consequences such as wall cracking and settlement.Remove the Original Doorway Walls
Use tools such as an electric hammer and crowbar to carefully remove the walls on both sides of the original doorway, paying attention to protecting the surrounding pipelines (such as water and electricity lines). After removal, clean up the debris to ensure a flat base layer for subsequent construction.Seal the Original Doorway
Rebuild the original doorway position with red bricks or lightweight bricks, with a thickness consistent with the original wall. During masonry, stagger the joints to enhance structural stability and fill the brick joints with cement mortar to ensure airtightness. If speed is a priority, light steel keels with gypsum boards can also be used for sealing, but soundproof cotton should be filled inside to improve sound insulation.Position and Construct the New Doorway
According to design requirements, re-mark the dimensions of the new doorway (usually with a width of 70-90 centimeters) at a position horizontally offset from the original doorway. Use a cutting machine to cut along the marked lines, remove some bricks, and then install and fix the door frame. It is recommended that the horizontal offset distance between the new doorway and the original doorway be greater than 50 centimeters to completely avoid feng shui issues or visual conflicts with the main door.
Precautions
- Construction Safety: When removing walls, wear goggles and masks to prevent debris from splashing; if working at heights, set up scaffolding and wear a safety harness.
- Structural Protection: Before removal, turn off the water and electricity valves in the surrounding area to avoid damaging hidden pipelines; if the wall is connected to beams or columns, retain part of the wall as support to prevent structural deformation.
- Acceptance Standards: After the construction of the new doorway is completed, check the verticality (error ≤ 3 millimeters) and levelness (error ≤ 2 millimeters) of the door frame to ensure smooth opening and closing of the door leaf without jamming.
