How to Make Money with Containers? See How They Monetize Creative Ideas

Admin September 12, 2026

This building is a coworking space that brings together shared offices, a cultural-events platform, experiential service amenities, and a youth community. Its standout feature is that it is assembled from shipping containers.

"The containers were shipped from a manufacturer in Foshan. We designed them, and they produced them. In total, the project is made of 36 containers," the architect said.

This innovative youth-oriented complex is a coworking space built from 36 containers. It stands three stories high, covers 500 square meters of land, and has a total floor area of 1,400 square meters. Inside are 100 office desks, one creative dining venue, one rooftop lounge bar, and one fully transparent box gym, plus a 300-square-meter sky garden on the third-floor roof.

Containers were chosen as the building material because creating office space with them feels like stacking Lego bricks—first, it looks cool. Second, custom container production costs less than traditional construction, and the build cycle is much shorter.

The project's marketing lead said that, unlike ordinary office towers that lease by floor area, the container project leases by desk—by seat. Tenants can take long-term or short-term leases, with each desk expected to cost about USD $56-$69 per month. That fee includes a share of common areas and related experiential amenity services.

"The price may not always be cheaper than a conventional office building, but we are not competing on price. We offer rich supporting services, resource connections, and a cultural platform," the project lead said with confidence.
