How to Make a Mobile Toilet

Admin October 06, 2026

There are various methods for making mobile toilets, with common approaches involving the assembly of materials such as water storage buckets, water storage tanks and pallets, and two chemical buckets. Here are the specific manufacturing steps:

Manufacturing Using a Water Storage Bucket

First, split the water storage bucket in half with an angle grinder to provide a basic structure for subsequent assembly. Then, fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board to ensure the mobile toilet can move flexibly. Use wooden strips and self-tapping screws to increase the height of the bucket and cut an opening on the side for easy access. Install sponge strips to form a door frame, embed plastic soft panels to create walls, providing a certain degree of privacy. Place the upper half of the water storage bucket on top of the wooden strips as a roof and apply waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics and waterproof performance. Drill a hole at the bottom of the bucket to install a drain pipe to form a floor drain, and cut a hole on the side to connect a direct joint for easy drainage. Finally, install facilities such as a bathroom heater, toilet, and water tank made from water pipes, and connect the inlet and outlet pipes to complete the installation of internal facilities.

Manufacturing Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet to facilitate movement. Place the water storage tank and use an angle grinder to cut along the top marking line to remove the top, forming an open tank. Invert another open-top water storage tank and stack it on top of the first tank, securing the outer frame with self-tapping screws to enhance structural stability. Cut rectangular openings on the outer frame and tank of the water storage tank to serve as doorways. Drill a hole in the internal floor, insert elbows and water pipes, and seal the gaps to prevent leaks. Install and secure the toilet, fix the water pipes and faucets, and install a hand-washing basin made from a stainless steel basin. Connect the inlet pipe of the toilet tank, the shower hose, install the shower bracket and toilet seat. Fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank, connect wooden boards to form a door, and install a door handle to complete the door installation.

Manufacturing Using Two Chemical Buckets

Remove the steel bars from the chemical buckets and use a cutting machine to completely cut off the lids of the plastic buckets. Invert the two plastic buckets and place them together, securing the upper and lower iron frames to ensure a stable structure. Cut an opening the size of a door frame on one side and make corresponding cuts on the inner plastic bucket to form an access passage. Use rectangular iron sheets to fix the gaps between the two plastic buckets to prevent leaks. Drill holes in the corners of the plastic buckets to install PVC pipes and apply sealant, cut off the excess PVC pipes to完善 (improve) the drainage system. Place the toilet and install the toilet tank properly, connecting and installing the inlet pipe and hand-washing basin. Make a shower with PVC pipes and connect and install it, install two wooden doors using hinges and attach handles. Extend and connect the inlet pipe, laying the water pipes flat to the bottom of the plastic buckets for easy bathing. Finally, test all functions and connect the outlet to a septic tank to ensure the normal use of the mobile toilet.
