How to Insulate Prefabricated House Panels

Admin September 19, 2026

The insulation of prefabricated house panels can be achieved by incorporating insulation structures during production, adopting the construction technology of prefabricated roof insulation integrated panels, and implementing various insulation methods for rural self-built houses.

Incorporating Insulation Structures During Production

During the production of concrete prefabricated panels, an effective insulation measure can be taken by pre-placing insulating foam materials in the mold. Subsequently, steel bars and concrete are poured over it to form a sandwich structure. The clever design of this structure lies in the fact that the insulating foam layer can effectively block heat transfer, thereby providing insulation. At the same time, the presence of steel bars and concrete ensures the strength and stability of the prefabricated panels, making this insulation structure both practical and reliable.

Adopting the Construction Technology of Prefabricated Roof Insulation Integrated Panels

This technology adopts an industrial production method to prefabricate roof insulation integrated panels. It eliminates the on-site construction procedures for the insulation layer and protective layer, instead adopting a modular assembly construction method. Its structure typically includes a concrete panel, an insulation board, and piers, which can effectively ensure the forming quality of the roof insulation integrated panels. In addition, this technology has the advantages of simple procedures and quick installation, which can significantly improve construction efficiency and reduce construction costs.

Insulation Methods for Rural Self-Built Houses

  • Internal Insulation: First, clean the wall surface and then draw construction baselines on it. Next, apply glue to the four corners and the middle of the insulation board, and paste the insulation board onto the wall in a bottom-up, left-to-right order. Finally, handle the internal and external corners to complete the internal insulation construction.
  • External Insulation: After treating the wall surface, use professional mortar to paste the insulation board onto the exterior wall surface. During the pasting process, pay attention to smoothing and compacting to ensure that the insulation board is tightly attached to the wall surface. Finally, apply a layer of rendering mortar on the outside to protect the insulation board and enhance the overall integrity of the wall.
  • Roof Insulation: Consider insulation issues when constructing the structure, or adopt an elevated insulation and heat insulation method. That is, build a certain height (e.g., 10-20 centimeters) with bricks on a flat roof, and then place prefabricated panels on top to form an elevated heat insulation layer. Finally, apply a layer of rendering mortar on the outside to protect the elevated heat insulation layer and enhance the waterproof performance of the roof.
