How to Install Prefabricated Concrete Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

The installation of prefabricated concrete houses must follow scientific and standardized procedures to ensure structural safety and functionality. The specific process is as follows:

I. Preparation Phase

  1. Component Inspection: Check the dimensions, specifications, and strength of all prefabricated components (such as columns, walls, beams, slabs, etc.) to ensure they meet design requirements. Focus on verifying that the positions and quantities of reserved sleeves and reinforcing bars match the design drawings.
  2. Material and Tool Preparation: Prepare connection materials such as cement mortar, bedding compound, and grouting materials according to construction needs, as well as lifting equipment like cranes, hoists, and adjustable supports.
  3. Site Condition Verification: Clear the installation site to ensure there are no obstructions; check that transportation routes meet the requirements for component lifting to avoid construction interruptions due to site issues.

II. Foundation Treatment

  1. Foundation Construction: Pour concrete pedestals or strip foundations according to design requirements. For rural houses, complete engineering positioning, layout, earth excavation, bedding construction, and independent foundation pouring (including rebar tying); for mobile houses, reinforced concrete foundations are recommended, ensuring a flatness error of no more than 5mm.
  2. Dimension Verification: Measure the dimensions and elevations of various foundation positions according to design drawings, using tools such as level gauges and theodolites to adjust deviations and ensure the foundation meets installation accuracy requirements.

III. Component Lifting and Connection

  1. Prefabricated Column Installation: Lift columns in the order of foot columns → side columns → central columns, using axis and outer contour lines as control lines. Side and corner columns should be aligned with the outer contour lines, and temporary supports should be used to fix and adjust verticality.
  2. Prefabricated Shear Wall Installation: Prioritize lifting exterior walls and slabs connected to cast-in-place sections, using both axis and contour lines for dual-control positioning; for wall panels requiring compartmentalized grouting, use bedding compound for compartmentalization. The thickness of grouting material for multi-story shear walls should not exceed 20mm to ensure a dense connection.
  3. Prefabricated Beam and Composite Component Installation: Lift beams in the order of main beams → secondary beams, and from low to high; after lifting composite slabs, verify the height difference and width of slab bottom joints, and readjust by lifting again if the height difference is not met; temporary supports can only be removed after the strength of the post-poured concrete reaches at least 75% of the design value.
  4. Special Operations for Mobile Houses: Erect columns at preset positions and connect them with transverse beams to form a stable frame; check the levelness and verticality when installing partitions and exterior walls; window and door frame installation must comply with specifications, and prefabricated floor slabs must be kept level and securely fixed.

IV. Overall Inspection and Finalization

  1. Appearance Inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the house's appearance, clean up excess materials and construction debris, and ensure the surface is flat, without cracks or hollows.
  2. Functionality Completion: Mobile houses require interior and exterior decoration and the installation of water, electricity, and ventilation facilities; rural houses can proceed with subsequent processes such as wall plastering and floor hardening.
  3. Acceptance and Delivery: Conduct structural safety and functionality acceptance according to relevant standards, and the house can only be put into use after passing the inspection.

Key Tips: During installation, strictly monitor the connection quality of components, especially critical nodes such as grouting and welding; for mobile houses, focus on checking the stability of the frame to avoid structural deformation due to foundation settlement.
