How to Install a Door in a Container House
The installation of a door in a container house requires selecting the installation method according to the type of the door. Common steps include door frame assembly, fixation, and door leaf installation, and specific operations should be carried out in combination with the structural characteristics of the container.

I. Door Frame Assembly and Fixation
The installation of the door frame for a container house should start with assembly. For a complete set of doors (including the door frame and door leaf), use an electric drill to make holes (with a diameter of about 2.5mm and a depth of 30 - 40mm) at the top of the door frame on the ground. Connect the horizontal and vertical frames with 80mm long nails, ensuring that the gaps are less than 0.5mm and form a 90 - degree right angle. Then, fix the connecting plates on both sides of the door frame (a total of 12 places). After flipping it over, fix the connecting plates on the other side and check the perpendicularity and levelness. Place the assembled door frame as a whole into the reserved door opening of the container. Use a spirit level to adjust the door frame to be consistent with the wall plane, and then use a plumb bob to check the perpendicularity. Drill holes (with a diameter of 8 - 10mm) in the wall through the nail holes of the connecting plates, embed wood shavings, and then fix the connecting plates with nails. Insert wooden strips into the gaps to prevent loosening.
II. Door Leaf Installation
After the door frame is fixed, install the door leaf based on the door frame. Install hinges (usually 2 - 3 per door leaf) and door locks to ensure that the door leaf opens and closes smoothly and the gaps are even. For a roller shutter door (common in warehouse - type containers), install a roller shutter box above the door opening, fix both sides of the roller shutter door with guide rails, connect the motor or manual chain, and debug the smooth lifting and lowering of the roller shutter.
III. Installation of Special - Type Doors
- Industrial Sliding Doors: Suitable for large - scale container workshops, rails need to be installed on both sides of the door opening. The door body is connected to the rails through rollers, and a positioning device is installed at the bottom to prevent deviation.
- Folding Doors: If the container has limited space, folding doors can be installed. Hinges need to be installed at the top and bottom of the door frame to ensure that the folding part is flexible and has good sealing performance.
- Custom - Made Doors: When adjusting the size according to requirements, it is necessary to measure the precise data of the container door opening in advance (such as a standard single - door with a width of 800mm and a height of 2000mm). After custom - making the door body, install it according to the above steps.
IV. Precautions
Before installation, check the material of the container wall (such as steel plate or composite board) and select an appropriate fixation method (such as expansion bolts or welding). The gaps between the door frame and the wall should be treated with sealant to prevent rainwater leakage. If the container is foldable, the door frame structure should be fixed first after unfolding, and then the door leaf should be installed.
