How to Install a Mobile Toilet in a Room
Admin September 28, 2026
Installing a mobile toilet (mobile toilet bowl) requires selecting the appropriate method based on the drainage type and strictly following operational guidelines. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

I. Pre-installation Preparation
- Check Component Completeness Upon receiving the package, unpack and check the component list immediately to ensure that key parts such as the toilet bowl body, drainage pipes, sealing rings, and fixing screws are all present. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the supplier promptly for replacements to avoid interruptions during installation.
- Clean and Level the Floor Before temporary or permanent installation, thoroughly clean the floor of debris (such as sand and dust) to ensure it is dry and level. If the floor is uneven or sloped, make repairs or adjustments in advance to prevent the toilet from wobbling or leaking after installation.
II. Select Installation Method Based on Drainage Type
- Same-Floor Drainage (Sunken Bathroom)
- Characteristics: The floor is approximately 40 cm lower than the floor level, with drainage pipes located on the same floor, allowing for flexible modifications.
- Operation: Directly extend or shorten the drainage pipes to relocate the toilet bowl without penetrating the floor slab. After relocation, relay and secure the pipes, ensuring a reasonable slope (typically 2%-3%) to prevent water accumulation.
- Inter-floor Drainage (Drainage Pipe Passes Through Floor Slab)
- Method 1: Toilet Bowl Relocator Suitable for small-scale relocation (recommended not exceeding 2 meters). When installing, tightly connect the relocator to the original drainage pipe and use a sealing ring to prevent leaks. After relocation, test the drainage speed to avoid blockages caused by insufficient slope.
- Method 2: Floor Drain to Wall Drain Conversion Relocate the toilet bowl's drainage outlet to an adjacent wall and connect it to the sewage riser. This method requires cutting channels in the wall to bury pipes, making it more complex but allowing for a greater relocation range. Pay attention to the wall structure (e.g., do not arbitrarily cut channels in load-bearing walls) and plan the pipe routing in advance.
- Extreme Case Handling If inter-floor drainage requires a large-scale relocation of the toilet bowl (e.g., exceeding 2 meters), consider negotiating with neighbors to adjust the position of the sewage pipe. However, this method involves drilling holes in the floor slab and relaying pipes, requiring property management approval and high construction difficulty. It is recommended to prioritize the first two methods.
III. Installation Steps
- Assemble the Toilet Bowl Body Follow the instructions to assemble the toilet bowl base, water tank, and other components, checking that all connections are secure.
- Secure the Drainage Pipes Connect the drainage pipes according to the relocation method, using sealing glue or specialized clamps to secure the interfaces and ensure no gaps.
- Install the Toilet Bowl and Level It Align the toilet bowl with the drainage outlet and slowly lower it, pressing gently until it fits snugly against the floor. Use a level to adjust the toilet bowl's levelness to prevent leaks or discomfort due to tilting.
- Seal the Joints Apply a ring of glass glue around the joint between the toilet bowl base and the floor to enhance sealing and prevent odors.
IV. Precautions
- Anti-odor and Anti-splash Design: Avoid choosing toilets with simple structures and poor sealing, even for temporary use. Ensure that the drainage outlet has a trap or odor-proof core.
- Drainage Slope Control: When relocating, strictly adhere to the drainage slope requirements. A slope that is too small can cause blockages, while a slope that is too large can affect the toilet bowl's stability.
- Regular Inspection and Maintenance: After installation, regularly check the pipe connections for looseness and the glass glue for cracks. Promptly repair any issues to extend the service life.
