How to Hoist a Blue Mobile Toilet
Admin October 05, 2026
The hoisting of a blue mobile toilet must be carried out strictly in accordance with standardized procedures to ensure safety and stability. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preparation Before Hoisting
- Confirm Equipment Parameters and Crane Capacity
Select a crane based on the number of toilet compartments in the toilet box: use a crane of 12 tons or more for 2-4 compartments; 16 tons or more for 5-6 compartments; and 20 tons or more for 7 compartments or more. Measure the weight and dimensions of the toilet in advance to avoid overloading and causing the crane to tip over. - Inspect Hoisting Accessories
The toilet top must be equipped with four intact lifting rings. During hoisting, use separate lifting straps with a length of no less than 6 meters to connect the lifting hook and the lifting rings to prevent breakage or slippage. - Evaluate Site Conditions
Check the ground flatness. For soft ground, lay steel plates to disperse the pressure. Plan the hoisting route, avoiding obstacles such as power lines and trees, ensuring sufficient space for the crane boom to rotate and avoiding collision risks.
II. Hoisting Process Operations
- Unload Steadily
Keep the toilet level during unloading to avoid tilting and causing the hook to detach. The lifting straps must be symmetrically fixed to prevent the center of gravity from shifting. - Simultaneous Command and Hover Inspection
Use two-way radios for communication, with one person observing the balance of the toilet box and the other person directing the crane. After the box is lifted off the ground, hover for 30 seconds to check if the center of gravity is stable and prevent swaying. When approaching the installation position, adjust the angle in advance and slowly lower it to a pause at 10 cm above the foundation. Make fine adjustments to align with the embedded parts before fully positioning it. - Avoid Sudden Stops and Starts
Operate at a constant speed during hoisting to avoid sudden acceleration or braking, which can cause the box to sway or the lifting straps to be subjected to uneven forces.
III. Post-Hoisting Wrap-Up Work
- Fixation and Wind Protection
Immediately install wind protection fixtures (such as ground anchors or expansion bolts) after positioning. Check that all connection points are secure to prevent displacement caused by strong winds. - Shock Absorption and Anti-Corrosion Measures
Install rubber pads at the bottom of the box to cushion vibrations and prevent direct contact between accumulated water and metal components, reducing the risk of corrosion. - Comprehensive Inspection
Confirm that the toilet doors, windows, sewage pipes, and other ancillary facilities are undamaged and ensure normal functionality before putting them into use.
Precautions: Hoisting operations must be carried out by professionals, who should wear safety helmets, gloves, and other protective equipment throughout the process. Operations should be suspended in adverse weather conditions (such as strong winds or heavy rain) to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
