How to Fold Mobile Outdoor Toilets

Admin October 05, 2026

The folding methods for mobile outdoor toilets vary depending on the product type. Here are some common folding methods:

Some mobile outdoor toilets, such as the Yueka Car-mounted Foldable Toilet, adopt a quick-deploy and stow design, and the folding steps usually consist of three parts:

  1. Step 1: Retract the Support Structure Fold the toilet's支架 (support frame) or support rods inward to ensure all components are in a closed position. This design is typically secured with buckles or magnetic catches. When operating, check that the buckles are fully locked to prevent loosening after folding.
  2. Step 2: Compress the Main Body Press down or inward on movable components such as the toilet seat and water storage tank to reduce the overall height. Some products feature retractable pipes, which need to be retracted to their shortest length.
  3. Step 3: Secure the Folded Shape Use straps, locks, or a dedicated storage bag to secure the folded toilet, preventing it from coming apart during transportation. After folding, the thickness is only about 10 cm, making it easy to fit into a car trunk or backpack side pocket.

Another type of multifunctional mobile portable tent (with toilet functionality) employs a 3-second quick-fold technology:

  1. Release the Fixing Devices Unfasten the fixing ropes or buckles at the top of the tent, which are usually designed as rotating or pressing types for easy and quick operation.
  2. Collapse the Entire Tent Hold both sides of the tent with your hands, squeeze them inward and press down, allowing the elastic supports or folding joints to automatically complete the collapsing action. Some products have built-in spring structures to assist with rapid folding.
  3. Pack and Store Place the folded tent into a dedicated storage bag, ensuring all components (such as ground stakes and windbreak ropes) are packed inside to avoid loss.

Precautions:

  • If the product does not clearly indicate the folding method, be sure to refer to the instruction manual or contact the manufacturer for operating instructions. Incorrect folding may cause damage to components or loss of functionality.
  • Before folding, empty the water storage tank or waste container to avoid contamination or lingering odors.
  • For long-term storage, it is recommended to place the folded toilet in a dry and well-ventilated area to prevent mold growth or material aging.
