How to Flush Mobile Public Toilets

Admin October 01, 2026

The methods for flushing mobile public toilets vary depending on their types, as detailed below:

I. Water-flushing, Non-water-flushing Suction, and Recirculating Water-flushing Types

  1. Recirculating Water-flushing Type: These toilets are equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment units. By adding biological bacteria and biofilm technology, they accelerate the decomposition of feces, and the treated water can be recycled for flushing. No additional water source is required during use, as the system automatically completes the water circulation and toilet-flushing process.
  2. Basic Flushing Operation: For traditional water-flushing designs, turn on the faucet and use clean water to directly flush the inner and outer walls of the squat toilet. Multiple flushes are necessary to thoroughly remove dirt and residues, especially for stubborn stains, which may require extended flushing time or adjusted water flow angles.

II. Dry Packaging Type
This type lacks a water-flushing mechanism, with excreta collected in biodegradable plastic bags. After use, the system automatically replaces the bag with a new one, eliminating the need for manual flushing. Only regular collection bag cleanup is required. This design is suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary event settings.

III. Other Technological Types

  1. Foam Sealing Type: A foam generator covers the excreta surface to form a sealed layer, reducing odor diffusion. Some designs incorporate minimal water flushing or no water flushing at all. Specific operations should refer to the equipment manual, and frequent manual intervention is usually unnecessary.
  2. Smart Water-saving Type: The system automatically collects urine and hand-washing water, adds water-saving agents, and uses the mixture for flushing, achieving low-consumption cleaning of approximately 0.46 liters per person. Users do not need additional operations, as the equipment automatically completes the flushing according to preset programs.

IV. General Manual Cleaning Steps (Applicable to Maintenance Scenarios)

  1. Use of Specialized Cleaning Agents: Spray toilet cleaner or disinfectant on the inner walls of the toilet, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then use a brush to focus on cleaning the drain outlet, water tank, and other parts. For stubborn stains, strong cleaning agents like toilet bowl cleaner can be used after dilution according to the instructions, followed by a thorough rinse with clean water.
  2. Treatment of Sewer Dirt: If dirt adheres to the pipe walls, pour a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda, let it soak for 15 minutes, then scrub with a brush. For severe blockages, use a high-pressure water gun or showerhead to flush the drainage pipes, or pour cola and let it soak before scrubbing to dissolve organic blockages.

Precautions: Confirm the toilet type before operation to avoid misuse of non-water-flushing equipment. Thoroughly rinse after using cleaning agents to prevent residue from corroding the equipment. Regularly check the activity of biological bacteria in recirculating water-flushing types to ensure treatment efficiency.
