How to Connect the Water Pipe for a Mobile Toilet

Admin October 13, 2026

Connecting the water pipe for a mobile toilet requires operations based on the specific type and interface design. The core steps are as follows:

1. Distinguish Interface Types

The functions of the interfaces on a mobile toilet need to be clearly distinguished. Common types include:

  • Water Inlet Interface: Usually located on the back of the automatic toilet seat, used to connect to the cold water pipe of the tap water (do not connect to a hot water pipe to avoid damaging internal components).
  • Cleaning Water Circuit Interface: Connected to the water inlet interface, it supplies water for functions such as seat cleaning through the internal water circuit without the need for an external pipe.
  • Sewage Discharge Interface: Requires a special flange sealing ring to connect to the sewage pipe, ensuring airtightness to prevent odor leakage or sewage backflow.

2. Sealing Treatment

Choose a sealing method according to the interface type:

  • Threaded Interface: Wrap the thread with Teflon tape in the direction of the thread for 5-8 turns, ensuring the gaps are filled. Avoid excessive force when tightening to prevent thread damage.
  • Quick-Connect Interface: Align the pipe with the slot and press the clip, ensuring it is fully fastened. A clicking sound indicates proper installation.
  • PVC Drain Pipe: Apply special glue evenly on the outside of the pipe spigot and the inside of the fitting socket. After insertion, rotate 90 degrees and maintain pressure for 10-15 seconds to ensure the glue cures and adheres firmly.

3. Installation and Fixing

  • Plan the Drainage Path: The pipe should maintain a slope of 2%-5% (2-5 cm drop per meter) to prevent water accumulation, which can cause blockages or odors.
  • Fix the Pipes: Fix the main pipe along the planned path with pipe clamps. Connect branch pipes to the toilet, sink, etc., using fittings such as tees. Use rubber gaskets and pipe clamps at the joints to prevent loosening.

4. Testing and Adjustment

  • Initial Inspection: After connection, open the main water valve first and observe if there are any water leaks at the joints.
  • Function Testing: Test the cleaning water circuit and flushing function to confirm normal water flow and no leaks.
  • Problem Handling: If a leak is found, immediately close the water valve, recheck if the Teflon tape is wrapped evenly or if the joints are tightened properly. Replace the sealing parts if necessary.

5. Other Precautions

  • Installation Environment: The sewage pipe location should be well-ventilated and have convenient drainage. Keep the pipes horizontal or vertical to avoid tilting, which can cause sewage backflow.
  • Regular Maintenance: Clean the sewage pipe monthly to prevent blockages from hair and debris. In winter, check if the pipes are frozen and cracked (if used in low-temperature environments).
  • Safe Operation: Ensure the power and water are turned off before installation. Novices are advised to contact after-sales service or professionals to avoid equipment damage or personal injury due to improper operation.
