How to Connect Mobile Toilets
The connection of mobile toilets mainly involves the installation of water supply pipes and sewage pipes. The specific operations need to be adjusted according to the design mode and on-site conditions. Here are the key steps and precautions:

I. Water Supply Pipe Connection (Direct Water Supply Mode)
Material Preparation Flexible hoses (such as rubber hoses) or PPR rigid pipes that match the diameter of the on-site tap water pipes should be used, along with sealing accessories such as Teflon tape, sealing gaskets, and pipe clamps. If PPR pipes are used, additional hot-melt tools are required.
Connection Operations
- Close the Main Valve: Before connection, close the main tap water valve on site to prevent water leakage during construction.
- Interface Treatment: Cut the end of the tap water pipe flat and remove burrs. Check the thread integrity of the toilet's internal water inlet. If there is any damage, replace the accessories.
- Sealing Treatment: Wrap 3-5 turns of Teflon tape (clockwise) around the threaded interface or install a rubber sealing gasket to ensure there are no gaps at the connection.
- Fix the Pipes: Use pipe clamps or special fasteners to fix the flexible hose to the interfaces at both ends to prevent detachment due to water pressure. If PPR pipes are used, they should be fixed by hot-melt welding. After welding, cool for 2 minutes before turning on the water.
Testing and Acceptance Slowly open the main valve and check for leaks at the connection. If water leakage is found, rewrap the Teflon tape or replace the sealing gasket until there are no leaks.
II. Sewage Pipe Connection (To be Adjusted According to Design)
Gravity Sewage Discharge Mode If the toilet is designed for gravity sewage discharge, the sewage pipe should be connected to the on-site septic tank or sewage well. The pipe should maintain a slope of 3%-5% to ensure that waste flows smoothly into the treatment facility. Rubber sealing rings or cement mortar can be used at the connection to prevent the backflow of foul odors.
Sewage Suction Truck Mode Some mobile toilets are designed with a fecal storage tank and require a reserved sewage suction interface. The interface should be equipped with a quick coupling or flange plate for easy connection of the sewage suction truck's hose. Before connection, check the tightness of the interface to prevent leakage during sewage suction.
Special Scenario Handling In areas without a sewage pipe network (such as in the wild), a temporary septic tank should be provided or biological degradation technology should be used to treat waste. In this case, the sewage pipe can be connected to the fecal storage container, which should be cleaned regularly.
III. Other Precautions
- Site Survey: Before connection, confirm the on-site water pressure, the location of the sewage outlet, and the flatness of the ground to avoid rework due to non-compliance with conditions.
- Main Body Leveling: The toilet box should be leveled using adjustable feet to prevent pipe breakage due to tilting.
- Equipment Inspection: After connection, test the flushing and sewage discharge functions to ensure that all valves and sensors are working properly.
Tip: If users do not have experience in pipe installation, it is recommended to contact professionals to avoid water leakage or sewage discharge failures caused by improper operations.
