How Are Prefabricated Houses Built
The construction process of prefabricated houses mainly includes modular assembly, prefabricated component assembly, foldable prefabricated houses, and AI CNC robotic arm manufacturing, among other methods.

Modular Assembly Method: The house is divided into multiple independent modules, and most components, such as ceilings, floors, water and electricity pipelines, and even bathroom waterproof layers, are prefabricated in the factory. Taking the China Construction Hailong Intelligent Construction Industrial Park in Shenzhen, Guangdong, as an example, scattered components are first produced separately on the second or third floor and then sent to the assembly station for final assembly using welding robots and highly automated methods. Multiple processes are carried out simultaneously, combined with automated three-dimensional warehouses and intelligent production lines, which can significantly shorten the construction period by more than 60%. The advantage of this method lies in its high degree of integration, reducing the complexity and time cost of on-site construction.
Prefabricated Component Assembly Method: Taking the prefabricated houses in rural South Korea as an example, the process begins with leveling the foundation and pouring a cushion layer. After excavating the foundation pit, a white plastic sheet is laid, and the foundation is poured using a concrete pump truck. Next, foundation piles are installed, and beams are assembled. After the concrete sets, anchor plates are installed. A mobile crane is used to install the prefabricated foundation piles, and beams are installed like building blocks. After horizontal measurement and adjustment, they are fixed with nuts, gaps are filled with foam sealant, and the nut fixation points are sealed with cement. Finally, soil is backfilled, and the foundation is poured to complete the frame structure of the foundation before starting soil backfilling. This method focuses on the prefabrication of the basic structure and on-site assembly, ensuring the stability and durability of the house.
Foldable Prefabricated House Method: All interior decorations and system integrations are completed in the factory, and the house can be folded and packed into a container for transportation. It only needs to be quickly unfolded and connected to water and electricity on-site for occupancy. For example, a 73-square-meter fully furnished two-bedroom prefabricated house purchased online by an American couple from China only required unfolding on-site and connecting to water and electricity for occupancy. This method greatly improves transportation efficiency and on-site installation speed, making it suitable for rapid deployment scenarios.
AI CNC Robotic Arm Manufacturing Method: The house frame is automatically manufactured under the control of a CNC AI robotic arm. During material preparation, pine wood is marked with dividing lines and precisely sawed. After the equipment senses gravity, it is dragged to the parking area, and laser-printed labels of the same model are affixed to the surface for categorization and stacking. The robotic arm sucks out the required wooden boards according to a predetermined trajectory. After the wooden boards are properly placed, roller robotic arms push them inward, and nail guns secure one side in a short time. Workers insert solid wood into the equipment to make square frames as the main walls of the house. Multiple robotic arms work together to complete the construction of various parts of the house. This method combines artificial intelligence and automation technology, improving construction accuracy and efficiency.
