Guizhou Prefabricated House Molds

Admin September 18, 2026

In Guizhou, molds related to prefabricated houses mainly include two types: prefabricated courtyard wall molds and cast-in-place gatehouse molds.

Prefabricated Courtyard Wall Molds

Prefabricated courtyard wall molds are core tools for mass-producing prefabricated wall components in factories. Their design integrates principles of geometry, materials science, and mechanics. Geometric design must consider the length-to-width ratio of wall modules, the topological relationships of surface textures, and the tolerances at joint nodes to ensure component standardization and assembly accuracy. Material selection focuses on the mold's own durability (e.g., laser-cut steel plate forming) and demolding performance, while also taking into account the volume stability of concrete during the curing process. Mechanical calculations concentrate on the fatigue strength of the mold during multiple uses and the stress distribution during demolding to prevent deformation or cracking. Modern mold manufacturing employs digital technology, using 3D modeling software for virtual assembly testing to identify interference issues in advance and reduce material waste. In the manufacturing process, large templates are laser-cut and numerically controlled bent from steel plates, decorative patterns are achieved through engraving, etching, or precision casting processes, and reinforcing ribs, locking mechanisms, and other accessories are fixed through welding or bolt connections. All metal components require rust prevention treatment. During use, the choice of demolding agent must be compatible with concrete additives, and the curing cycle must precisely control time and temperature. Quality control runs throughout the mold's entire lifecycle, with dimensional accuracy checks before factory shipment and regular inspections for issues such as aging of seals and loosening of hinges after delivery to ensure long-term stable operation of the mold. Given Guizhou's mountainous terrain and transportation difficulties, prefabricated courtyard wall molds achieve convenient transportation and on-site assembly through standardized disassembly of components. Moreover, walls produced with uniform molds have a consistent appearance, making them suitable for operations in complex terrains.

Cast-in-Place Gatehouse Molds

The cast-in-place gatehouse mold process combines traditional architectural forms with modern concrete technology, enabling the one-time casting of complex antique-style gatehouses on-site using a reusable mold system. The technical core lies in the precise design of the mold as a "negative form," where all decorative patterns, lines,斗拱 (dougong, a traditional Chinese architectural element) outlines, and other details must be pre-fabricated on the inner surface of the mold. Material selection (such as high-strength steel plates or composite materials), the rationality of block design, and the accuracy of assembly positioning directly affect the detail reproduction and overall integrity of the final cast structure. This process reconstructs the construction workflow by relocating mold manufacturing, steel bar binding, and decorative component pre-production to factories or processing sites. On-site, only foundation construction and support system setup are required. After the mold arrives, it is cleaned, assembled, coated with a demolding agent, and then a steel reinforcement cage is placed inside before concrete pouring, significantly simplifying on-site operations. This method is particularly well-suited to the demand for antique-style buildings in Guizhou, preserving traditional forms while enhancing construction efficiency and quality stability through industrialized means.
