Types and Distribution of Newly-Built Toilets

The newly-built toilets in Guangrao County this year are all smart prefabricated toilets, belonging to environmentally-friendly smart public toilets. The exterior walls are made of green and environmentally-friendly building materials, metal carved panels, which can be reused and are pollution-free. These smart public toilets are mainly distributed in core areas with dense populations and high utilization rates, such as residential communities, commercial areas, and around schools. Specific locations include the southeast side of Yingcai Primary School, the south side of Xing'an Middle School, the north side of Guoan Road Kindergarten, the southeast side of Guantang Community, and the southeast side of Le'anju Commercial Street.

Functions of Smart Public Toilets

• Face-scanning Paper Dispensing: Stand about 1 meter directly in front of the intelligent facial recognition system. After waiting for about 3 seconds, the machine will dispense an 80-centimeter-long piece of toilet paper. There is a time interval set for paper dispensing, and a person can get paper twice within 10 minutes.
• Smart Public Toilet Guidance System: The liquid crystal display can show the toilet layout in 3D/2D, toilet stall occupancy status, the number of available toilet stalls, the date and time, the current urban weather conditions, air quality, environmental quality, and information such as the current temperature, humidity, ammonia level, hydrogen sulfide level, and PM2.5 level inside the toilet.
• Equipped with Intelligent Sensing Devices: Such as intelligent automatic sensing flushing devices. It is also equipped with air conditioners, mosquito killers, sterilizers, fragrance enhancers, and audio systems.
• Third Toilets: Third toilets are set up for the disabled and mothers with infants. They are equipped with adult toilets, children's toilets, children's urinals, baby changing tables, children's safety seats, SOS emergency call alarms, adult hand-washing sinks, children's hand-washing sinks, safety grab bars, and other facilities.

Renovation of Old Public Toilets

Guangrao County has renovated and upgraded 17 old public toilets in the urban area, mainly including painting the toilet walls with latex paint, replacing broken tiles, toilet bowls, and urinals, and installing new toilet stall sensors. The renovated toilets are more hygienic, more convenient, and have more complete facilities.

Currently, there are 40 public toilets in the urban area of Guangrao County, including 5 smart public toilets. And it is planned to build 6 energy-saving smart public toilets in areas around the county's Party-Mass Service Center.
