Types of Mobile Toilets in Guangdong
Common mobile toilets in Guangdong are mainly divided into four categories: single-unit, trailer-mounted, eco-friendly, and barrier-free mobile restrooms.

Single-unit mobile restrooms are one of the most widely used types in Guangdong. Their core feature is that each unit exists independently, equipped with basic facilities such as toilets (squat or sit), flushing systems, and paper towel holders. Some high-end models may also include mirrors or small storage spaces. These restrooms are compact in structure, occupy a small area, and are typically made of lightweight materials (such as fiberglass or metal frames) for easy and rapid transportation and on-site assembly. Their high deployment flexibility makes them suitable for temporary construction sites, outdoor exhibitions, scenic spots, and other scenarios, especially those with limited space or requiring frequent relocation.
Trailer-mounted mobile restrooms are designed for large-scale event needs. They are towed by a牵引车辆 (towing vehicle), with a larger overall size and spacious interiors, usually containing multiple independent compartments (such as 3-5). Some models also feature simple handwashing areas or hand-drying equipment. The water supply system of these restrooms may use water tanks or external water sources, and waste disposal methods include direct discharge or collection in fecal storage tanks. Their advantage lies in their ability to quickly respond to scenarios with a surge in foot traffic, such as music festivals, sports events, or disaster emergency relief, meeting the simultaneous needs of multiple users and reducing queuing times.
Eco-friendly mobile restrooms are a typical representative of Guangdong's promotion of green infrastructure. These restrooms achieve resource recycling through technological means: one type uses biodegradation technology, utilizing microorganisms to decompose excrement into harmless substances (such as carbon dioxide and water), reducing sewage discharge; another type emphasizes water-saving or waterless designs, such as foam sealing technology (using a small amount of water mixed with foaming agents to cover excrement) or vacuum suction systems (quickly collecting waste through negative pressure), suitable for water-scarce or ecologically sensitive areas (such as desert scenic spots and islands). Some models are also equipped with solar power supply systems to further reduce energy consumption.
Barrier-free mobile restrooms reflect care for special populations. Their design strictly adheres to barrier-free standards, including wider-than-normal doorways (usually ≥90cm), internal step-free structures, non-slip floors, safety handrails (such as L-shaped or vertical handrails), as well as low-positioned handwashing basins and emergency call devices. These restrooms are often deployed in hospitals, nursing homes, transportation hubs, or large public event venues, ensuring that individuals with mobility impairments (such as the elderly, disabled persons, or pregnant women) can use them independently and safely.
The diverse classification of mobile toilets in Guangdong not only meets the functional needs of different scenarios but also reflects the combination of technological progress and humanistic care, providing efficient solutions for the flexible deployment of public facilities.
