Guangdong Container House Specifications

Admin September 15, 2026

Guangdong container houses come in a variety of specifications, including common and customized ones, as follows:

I. Common Standard Specifications

  1. Small-sized Specification: With a length of 3 meters, width of 3 meters, and height of 2.8 meters, it covers an area of 9 square meters. Due to its small size, this specification is usually made according to specific customer requirements to avoid material waste.
  2. Standard Specification: It has a length of 6 meters, width of 3 meters, and height of 2.8 meters, covering an area of 18 square meters. This is a commonly seen standard size in the market, widely used in construction sites, road construction, etc. It can accommodate 6 bunk beds, meeting the living needs of about 8 people while leaving extra space.
  3. Slightly Larger Specification: With a length of 7 meters, width of 3 meters, and height of 2.8 meters, it covers an area of 21 square meters. This specification is often used as a two-story container mobile home, equipped with corridors and balconies, providing more spacious living or office space.

II. Spliced and Customized Specifications

  1. Spliced Specification: Larger spaces can be created by splicing container bodies. For example, after splicing three 40-foot container houses, the dimensions can reach 11.8 meters × 6.75 meters × 2.8 meters, with a usable area of 80 square meters, meeting the needs of duplex container houses.
  2. Customized Specification: According to customer requirements, the size and area of container houses can be large or small, highly flexible. The specific size and design plan for customized types are usually determined through discussions with the manufacturer to meet personalized needs.

III. Reference to International Standard Specifications

Although international standard container sizes (such as 20-foot and 40-foot containers) are also applied to some extent in the Guangdong container house market, they are more often used as a basis for modification. The actual container house specifications will be adjusted according to the usage scenarios and requirements, such as adding doors and windows and changing the internal layout, to adapt to various purposes such as living, office, restaurant, and dormitory.
