Gejiu Container House Installation

Admin September 15, 2026

The installation of container houses in Gejiu requires special attention to three key aspects: procurement, ground treatment, and hoisting and positioning. The specific processes and technical points are as follows:

I. Procurement Stage: Structure Type and Material are Key

  1. Selection of Structure Type

    • Welded Integral Box: Factory-welded as a whole, with a direct load path (roof load → side wall columns → bottom beams → ground), offering strong resistance to deformation and suitable for frequent hoisting and moving scenarios.
    • Bolt-Connected Modular Box: Composed of standard panels connected by bolts, with multiple connection nodes in the load path. It is essential to check the tightness of these nodes. For the steel thickness of columns and bottom beams, it is recommended to choose between 1.5 mm and 3 mm. Thicker walls provide greater load-bearing redundancy but also increase the self-weight.
  2. Coating Process Requirements

    • Hot-dip galvanizing is preferred due to its significantly longer corrosion resistance compared to cold-dip galvanizing, especially in areas with large temperature differences between day and night and significant humidity changes (such as Gejiu), effectively slowing down the rusting speed of the container body.

II. Ground Treatment: Uniform Load-Bearing is Fundamental

  1. Foundation Construction Standards

    • For Long-Term Fixed Use: A concrete strip foundation is required, with a recommended width of 30 cm to 50 cm and a depth determined by the local frost depth. The horizontal error of the foundation top surface should not exceed 5 mm.
    • For Short-Term Use Scenarios: Prefabricated concrete pads or steel pads can be used, with a spacing of no more than 2 meters. A crushed stone leveling layer should be laid underneath to ensure that the load-bearing points are on the same horizontal plane.
  2. Avoiding Settlement Risks

    • It is necessary to clear the topsoil and debris from the ground and compact the original soil layer. If placed directly on soft soil, local pressure can cause uneven settlement of the container body, leading to issues such as window and door deformation and wall cracks.

III. Hoisting and Positioning: Precise Control of Contact State

  1. Hoisting Operation Specifications

    • Use steel wire ropes with sufficient load-bearing capacity to ensure that all lifting points are subjected to synchronous force, avoiding unilateral force that can cause container body distortion. After the container body is positioned, immediately check the fit between the bottom beams and the foundation pads, and use thin steel sheets to fill any local gaps.
  2. Levelness Detection

    • Use a level to measure along the longitudinal and transverse directions of the bottom beams separately. The levelness error should be controlled within 2 mm per meter; otherwise, the floor may vibrate or produce abnormal noises due to uneven force distribution during subsequent use.
