Garage Mobile Toilet Installation
Admin September 21, 2026
The installation of a mobile toilet in a garage requires a step-by-step standardized operation that combines general procedures with garage renovation requirements, as detailed below:

1. Determine the Sewage Disposal Method
Select an appropriate sewage disposal mode based on garage conditions:
- Packing or Microbial Degradation Type: No need to connect to the sewer pipe. It can be directly moved to a designated location within the garage and is suitable for garages without sewage discharge conditions.
- Flush Type: Plan the sewer pipe in advance. Connect it to the main pipe through floor grooving or wall drilling to ensure that sewage discharge complies with environmental protection standards. At the same time, it needs to be connected to the water supply system to ensure water for flushing.
2. Preparation Stage
- Inspect the Garage Environment:
- Ensure that the floor is level and the load-bearing capacity meets the standards (for example, the concrete floor should be free of cracks) to avoid structural damage caused by the weight of the toilet.
- For the flush mode, it is essential to check whether the sewage pipe is unobstructed to prevent blockages later.
- Select the Model and Tools:
- Choose a mobile toilet with a size that matches the garage space (for example, a small toilet can be equipped with casters for manual pushing, while a large toilet requires a crane for lifting).
- Prepare assembly tools such as screwdrivers, spirit levels, and wrenches to ensure installation accuracy.
3. Assemble the Frame and Install
- Build the Frame:
- Fix the base in sequence and connect the wall panels (in the order of right → left → front). Tighten the screws and check the tightness to prevent leakage.
- Install the upper slot to support the roof cover to ensure structural stability.
- Move and Position:
- Move the toilet to the designated location within the garage using a lifting hook (for flat-roof designs) or casters (the balance point for pointed-roof designs is near the top).
- Connect Water Supply and Drainage (Flush Mode):
- Drainage: Groove the floor to lead the pipe to the crawl space and connect it to the main pipe, or drill through the wall to connect to the existing sewage system.
- Water Supply: Use a union connector to connect the old and new water pipes and extend the copper pipe to the toilet location to ensure stable water pressure.
4. Detail Handling and Finalization
- Clean and Inspect:
- Clean up debris inside and outside the toilet, tighten all bolts and nuts, and test whether facilities such as the toilet bowl and sink are damaged.
- Damp-proof Treatment:
- If the garage has high humidity, non-load-bearing walls need to be laid with damp-proof plasterboard to prevent long-term moisture damage and structural corrosion.
- Acceptance Inspection:
- Check whether the sewage disposal, ventilation, and water and electricity connections are normal. Confirm that there are no safety hazards before putting it into use.
Precautions:
- Garage renovations must comply with local building codes, especially the laying of water and electricity lines and sewage pipes.
- The weight and size of the mobile toilet must match the load-bearing capacity and space of the garage to avoid structural damage.
