Emei Mountain Container House Installation
Admin September 16, 2026
The installation of container houses in Emei Mountain should be carried out in accordance with standardized procedures, taking into account the terrain, climate, and environmental protection requirements, with a focus on controlling waterproofing, wind resistance, and foundation stability.

I. Key Points of Preliminary Preparation
- Site Survey: Measure the terrain slope (maximum 12°), and use a stepped foundation to handle gentle slopes; the ground flatness error should be ≤3cm. Priority should be given to concrete strip foundations or independent pile foundations to ensure load-bearing capacity.
- Transportation Planning: Each container weighs 2-5 tons, and an oversized transportation permit is required. Avoid routes with height or weight restrictions and rush hours in the morning and evening; plan the transportation route in advance to avoid sharp bends or bumpy roads.
- Material Inspection: Check the quantity of containers and the completeness of accessories, inspect the quality of welds and the sealing of door locks; confirm the wind resistance rating (reinforcement is required for winds above Level 6), and avoid using damaged or rusted containers.
II. Core Installation Process
- Foundation Fixation: After the concrete foundation has solidified for 7-10 days, embed expansion bolts or weld steel plates to fix the containers; in seismic fortification zones above Level 7, install seismic connectors and perform anti-loosening treatment on bolts.
- Container Hoisting: Use a crane with a capacity of over 25 tons, operate the lifting points according to the instructions, and keep the inclination angle ≤3°; additional reinforcement is required for cantilevered design parts to avoid excessive local stress.
- Joint Sealing: Seal the gaps between adjacent containers with waterproof tape, and apply anti-mold paint in humid environments; test the flexibility of doors and windows after installation to ensure the sealing meets the standards.
III. Measures for Special Scenarios
- Rainy Climate: Strengthen the waterproof treatment of joints, choose neutral weather-resistant glass glue (thickness ≥5mm and compacted); conduct an overall waterproof test before the rainy season, and check the drainage slope and the drainage trough at the bottom of the containers.
- Terrain Limitations: Achieve functional zoning through modular combinations, which can be adjusted or relocated later; the design of local cantilevers should be combined with the terrain slope to avoid excessive excavation.
- Environmental Protection Requirements: Control construction noise below 55dB during the day and 45dB at night, and achieve a 100% recovery rate of spoil; submit a floor plan for filing in cities such as Chengdu and Mianyang, and equip homestays with fire protection facilities.
IV. Solutions to Common Problems
- Wall Water Seepage: Clean the residue in the gaps, re-apply glue and compact it; check whether the drainage system is blocked to ensure timely drainage of rainwater.
- Container Deformation: Use a hydraulic jack to reset minor dents, and contact the original manufacturer for repair in case of severe deformation; avoid overloading or external impacts, and regularly check the structural stability.
It is recommended to choose a team with local service experience to ensure that the construction complies with the dual heritage protection requirements of the Emei Mountain scenic area and that quality is controlled throughout the process from design to after-sales service.
