Ecological Microbial Mobile Toilet
The ecological microbial mobile toilet is a type of public toilet that uses solid-liquid separation technology and microbial decomposition to achieve harmless treatment of excreta.

Initial Operation and Water-Saving Characteristics: When first put into use, an ecological microbial mobile toilet requires a one-time injection of 70 - 80 kilograms of water to maintain microbial colony activity and ensure that microorganisms can normally decompose excreta. During subsequent use, it offers significant water-saving advantages, eliminating the need for large amounts of flushing water as in traditional water toilets, and can even achieve waterless flushing, making it particularly suitable for areas with scarce water resources.
Toilet Body Structure and Durability: Its toilet body adopts a steel-frame cement composite structure, which not only provides excellent thermal insulation but also has a long service life of over 20 years. This characteristic makes it highly suitable for scenic spots, high-altitude and water-scarce areas, as well as various public places. Some models are also equipped with intelligent temperature control systems, with operating temperatures exceeding 60℃. While providing a comfortable usage environment, they also have sterilization and disinfection functions, further ensuring hygiene and safety.
Technological Development and Intelligence: The technology of ecological microbial mobile toilets has undergone continuous development. Early models used plastic bag packaging technology, which was gradually phased out due to high costs. Modern technology decomposes feces into carbon dioxide, water, and organic fertilizer through microbial colonies, achieving harmless treatment and resource utilization of excreta. Additionally, 5G and Internet of Things technologies have been applied, enabling remote monitoring and improving management efficiency.
Application Cases and Benefits: Ecological microbial mobile toilets have been applied in multiple important occasions. For example, the technology was used in 13 venues at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, with a single toilet stall construction cost 100,000 yuan lower than that of traditional water toilets. The carbon-neutral public toilets deployed in Chengdu in 2024 save over 3,000 tons of water annually, with steel-frame structures capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -28℃. The current annual maintenance cost is 15,000 yuan, demonstrating significant economic and environmental benefits. Additionally, there are stainless steel microbial degradation squat toilets that can be used in the renovation projects of public toilets, mobile toilets, and waterless ecological and environmentally friendly toilets, and can be normally used in severe cold regions.
