Easy Lifting of Prefabricated House Panels

Admin September 18, 2026

Refer to the following methods for easily lifting prefabricated house panels. Choose the appropriate method based on panel specifications, transportation distance, and site conditions, and strictly adhere to safety regulations:

1. Manual Lifting
Suitable for small prefabricated panels (length ≤ 3 meters, relatively light weight), requiring 4-6 people to collaborate. During operation, allocate manpower based on panel thickness: 4 people for whole panels with a thickness of 10-20 millimeters, and 6 people for those with a thickness of 25-30 millimeters. Using specialized lifting tools (such as lifting straps) can enhance efficiency. Maintain proper lifting posture: place feet on either side of the panel, shoulder-width apart; keep the back straight when bending over, and use leg strength to squat and lift; bring the panel close to the body's center of gravity before lifting to avoid excessive strain on the waist. This method relies on manpower and is suitable for short-distance, small-scale operations, but attention must be paid to the physical distribution and synchronization of the team.

2. Using a Floor Panel Trolley
Suitable for medium-weight prefabricated panels (length 3-5 meters, weight ≤ 75kg/㎡). First, lift the panel and hook it onto the lifting hooks of the trolley's two outstretched fixed arms, then push the trolley to move. The trolley reduces the direct load of manual lifting, but ensure the transportation path is flat to prevent the panel from slipping due to bumps. This method is suitable for medium to short-distance transportation, but plan the path in advance and clear any obstacles.

3. Sliding Installation Method
Suitable for longer or heavier prefabricated panels (length 3-5 meters, weight > 75kg/㎡). Lay temporary rails (such as steel rails or wooden guides) at the installation location, and use traction equipment (such as a manual hoist) or manpower to slide the panel along the rails to the target position, finally adjusting its position with a crowbar. This method distributes the panel's weight, reducing lifting difficulty, but measure the rail laying accuracy in advance and ensure the traction equipment and rails' load-bearing capacity match.

4. Segmented Assembly Installation
Suitable for extra-long prefabricated panels (length > 5 meters). After transporting the panels to the site in segments, connect them using bolts or grouting (such as using mortise-and-tenon structural modules). This method reduces the weight of a single lift, but ensure the strength of the assembled joints meets design requirements and complete modular design in the factory in advance.

Safety Precautions:

  • Before lifting, measure the panel's dimensions and estimate its weight, survey the lifting path, and prepare auxiliary tools such as crowbars, rollers, and ropes.
  • Wear protective equipment such as helmets and gloves during operation, and suspend work in rainy or windy weather.
  • Before installation, confirm the load-bearing capacity of the base layer to avoid structural damage due to overloading.
