Dual-Toilet Mobile Restroom Installation
Admin October 08, 2026
The installation of dual-toilet mobile restrooms (double-connected mobile restrooms) must adhere to the following technical procedures and standards:

I. Foundation Preparation
- Geological Survey and Foundation Treatment: Before installation, assess the soil bearing capacity and drainage conditions of the site to ensure foundation stability. Double-connected structures require higher flatness, necessitating the pouring of a concrete foundation slab as a support platform, typically with a thickness of no less than 15cm.
- Pipe Pre-embedding and Septic Tank Planning: When pre-embedding sewage pipe interfaces, calculate the pipe diameter based on the expected number of users, typically increasing it by 30% compared to a single restroom (e.g., if designed for 50 users, the pipe diameter should accommodate 65 users). The septic tank capacity must match the total load of the two toilet stalls, and a three-stage septic tank is recommended to enhance treatment efficiency.
II. Main Body Hoisting Stage
- Transportation and Hoisting Equipment: Use a professional crane to transport the prefabricated restroom units to the site. Before hoisting, confirm the equipment's load-bearing capacity (usually no less than 5 tons).
- Center of Gravity Balance and Sealing Treatment: The hoisting points must be arranged through structural mechanics calculations to ensure stability of the center of gravity. During installation, check whether the sealing strips between the base and the foundation are intact to prevent future leakage.
III. Pipe Connection Operations
- Water Inlet System: Use dual independent valves for control, connecting to each of the two toilet stalls separately for easy individual maintenance. It is recommended to use PPR pipes for their stronger corrosion resistance.
- Sewage System: Use inclined tee connectors to merge into the main pipe, with the inclination angle strictly adhering to specifications (usually 15°-30°) to prevent blockages.
IV. Internal Equipment Debugging
- Sanitary Ware: Adjust the water pressure of the water-saving flush valves to 0.3-0.5MPa to ensure flushing effectiveness. The ventilation system must be tested for air volume to maintain an air exchange rate of ≥8 times per hour in the toilet stalls.
- Air Pressure Balance: When double-connected structures share a ventilation main pipe, use regulating valves to maintain consistent air pressure in each branch pipe to avoid airflow short circuits.
V. External Auxiliary Facilities
- Electrical Safety: Protect the power supply lines with waterproof sleeves and use silicone sealant at the interfaces. The lighting system must be equipped with leakage protection devices, with a stable voltage of 220V±10%.
- Warning Signs: Install night warning lights at a height of no less than 2.5 meters, with a line-of-sight angle covering 360° to ensure long-distance identification.
Features and Precautions:
- Efficiency Advantage: The overall installation time is 40% shorter than that of a single restroom, but note the increased difficulty of hoisting in narrow spaces.
- Maintenance Limitations: The shared wall design may affect adjacent units during maintenance of a single toilet stall, so plan maintenance access in advance.
- Load Management: When used beyond the designed capacity, the system degradation rate may accelerate. It is recommended to regularly clean the septic tank and inspect the pipes.
