Dimensions of Home Portable Toilets
The common dimensions of home portable toilets vary depending on the type, mainly divided into two specifications: single-person home use and double-compartment types.

Single-person home portable toilets have a relatively flexible size range, commonly designed to be 1.2-1.5 meters in length, 0.8-1.0 meters in width, and 1.8-2.0 meters in height. This size range balances space utilization and user comfort, meeting basic needs such as single-person toilet use and changing clothes, suitable for daily family use or scenarios with limited space. Some special models, like the commonly used PT-280 type on construction sites, have dimensions of 1 meter in length, 1 meter in width, and usually start at a height of 2.2 meters. These designs prioritize portability and compactness, but the internal space is relatively cramped, suitable for short-term or temporary use. It is worth noting that there are two claims regarding the width of single-person models: one is 0.8-1.0 meters, and the other is 1.0-1.2 meters. This difference may stem from different design priorities—the former emphasizes space saving, while the latter enhances user comfort by increasing the width. Users can choose according to their actual needs.
Double-compartment portable toilets are significantly larger, typically measuring 2.0-2.5 meters in length and 1.2-1.5 meters in width, with two independent compartments inside. This design achieves the function of simultaneous use by two people through horizontal space expansion, suitable for scenarios requiring multiple users, such as family gatherings and outdoor activities. Their height is generally similar to that of single-person models, maintained at 1.8-2.0 meters, ensuring internal ventilation and lighting effects. The size advantage of double-compartment models lies in more reasonable space allocation, with each compartment independently equipped with doors, lighting, and ventilation systems, ensuring privacy and enhancing the user experience.
Size Selection Recommendations:
- Space Adaptability: If family space is limited, prioritize choosing smaller models among single-person types (e.g., 1.2 meters × 0.8 meters) to avoid occupying too much area; if long-term use or comfort is pursued, consider models with a width of 1.0-1.2 meters.
- Usage Scenarios: Double-compartment models are more suitable for scenarios with frequent multiple users, but ensure that the installation location has sufficient horizontal space (at least 2.5 meters wide); single-person models are more flexible and can be placed in corners such as balconies and courtyards.
- Functional Expandability: Some portable toilets support the addition of accessories such as sinks and storage cabinets. When choosing, reserve additional space (usually an increase in width of 0.2-0.3 meters).
