Dimensions of Mobile Toilets in Rural Areas of Dali

Admin October 07, 2026

There is no unified standard for the dimensions of mobile toilets in rural areas of Dali. The choice should be made based on the type, function, and usage scenario, with common specifications as follows:

  1. Basic Single-Person Type
The regular dimensions are 1.5 meters in length × 1.2 meters in width × 2.3 meters in height, with reserved activity space inside to accommodate wheelchair assistance needs. There is also a more compact mini version with dimensions of 1.0 meter in length × 1.0 meter in width × 2.2 meters in height, suitable for small-scale scenarios with high foot traffic (such as temporary events and small public areas). This design focuses on space-saving while ensuring the completeness of basic usage functions, such as the door opening range and ventilation openings.

  2. Basic Double-Person Type
The common specification is 2.5 meters in length × 1.5 meters in width × 2.3 meters in height, including double compartments and a shared sink, suitable for scenarios where multiple people use it simultaneously (such as markets and areas around schools). There is also a simplified version with dimensions of 1.8 meters in length × 1.1 meters in width × 2.3 meters in height, optimizing space utilization by reducing the spacing between compartments. This design needs to balance the independence of compartments and the layout of public areas to avoid usage conflicts due to overly small dimensions.

  3. Barrier-Free Type
The dimensions should be at least 2.0 meters in length × 1.5 meters in width × 2.4 meters in height. Inside, there should be reserved wheelchair turning space (≥1.5 meters × 1.5 meters), and it should be equipped with auxiliary facilities such as handrails and low-level sinks, specifically designed for people with mobility impairments. This type of toilet has high requirements for ground flatness and aisle width and needs to be adjusted adaptively according to rural road conditions.

  4. Other Custom Specifications
Some manufacturers support personalized customization. For example, a single-squat-position toilet with dimensions of 1.6 meters × 1.6 meters (suitable for single-household use) and a double-squat-position toilet with dimensions of 3.2 meters × 1.6 meters (suitable for public areas in small villages). Customization requires comprehensive consideration of site conditions (such as terrain slope and drainage direction), the number of users (such as permanent residents and tourist volume), and budget costs to avoid transportation difficulties or space waste due to overly large dimensions.

Selection Suggestions: Rural areas should first evaluate actual needs (such as usage frequency and population characteristics), site constraints (such as available area and terrain), and maintenance capabilities (such as cleaning frequency and part replacement), and then make adaptations based on the above specifications. For example, areas with a high population density can choose the double-person type or custom double-squat-position models. Areas with a large elderly population should focus on barrier-free design, and temporary event scenarios can choose the mini version to reduce costs.
