Creative Mobile Toilet Design

Admin October 05, 2026

The creative mobile toilet design mainly includes two relatively detailed design plans: transforming plastic buckets into multi-functional mobile toilets and building mobile toilets using two chemical buckets.

Transforming Plastic Buckets into Multi-functional Mobile Toilets

First, install four universal wheels at the corners of a wooden board for easy mobility. Use wooden strips to fix and trim the front of the wooden board, wrap the cut edges to form a door frame structure, insert aluminum sheets to increase the height of the frame for blocking, and cover the top with the cut neck part. Paint the wooden strips on the inner wall with white cement for beautification. Assemble and make the door panel and fix it to the door frame with butt hinges.

For the internal drainage system, drill small circular holes at the bottom of the inner bucket, install elbows and floor drains, connect the plastic bucket with holes to a threaded reducer, drill holes at the bottom for installation, and then place it at the reserved opening on the top cover. Assemble it into a shape resembling the Chinese character '日' using three-way straight pipes and elbows, add valve switches, drill holes to connect to the water outlet, install valve switches and three-way pipes to connect to the bucket, insert screws to fix the clips, place the shower head, assemble the toilet tank and seal it. Connect the outdoor sewer pipe to the septic tank to achieve reasonable sewage discharge.

At the same time, install connecting elbow water pipes and brackets on the door for fixation. Cut the water bucket from the neck position and wrap the cut edges with a hose to improve the water supply facilities. This design makes full use of common materials such as plastic buckets and wooden boards. Through clever assembly and transformation, it achieves the basic functions of a mobile toilet at a relatively low cost, making it suitable for use in some temporary places or situations with limited resources.

Building Mobile Toilets Using Two Chemical Buckets

Find two large chemical buckets, remove the steel bars on top, and use a cutting machine to completely cut off the lids of the plastic buckets. Place the two plastic buckets upside down together and fix the upper and lower iron frames to ensure structural stability. Cut an opening the size of a door frame on one side, and make corresponding cuts on the inner plastic bucket as well.

Find rectangular iron sheets and fix the gaps between the two plastic buckets with screws to prevent water leakage. Drill holes in the corners of the plastic buckets, install PVC pipes, apply sealant, and cut off the excess PVC pipes to ensure tight pipe connections. Place the toilet on top, install the toilet tank properly, and fix it with glue. Connect and install the water inlet pipe, install a washbasin, make a shower head with a PVC pipe and connect it to the water pipe to meet people's various needs such as going to the toilet, washing hands, and taking a shower. Install two wooden doors using hinges and install handles to provide a certain degree of privacy. Extend and connect the water inlet pipe, lay the water pipe flat to the bottom of the plastic buckets, test each function, connect the drainage outlet pipe to the septic tank to achieve sewage treatment and discharge.
