Container Mobile House Without AC

Admin September 16, 2026

When a container mobile house lacks air conditioning, solutions can be found through selecting suitable mobile air conditioners, improving ventilation, using shading facilities, adding insulation measures, and utilizing natural cooling methods.

  1. Selecting a suitable mobile air conditioner: For container mobile houses, installing ordinary wall-mounted air conditioners is difficult, as the outdoor unit has nowhere to be placed and modifying the walls may not be permitted. A mobile air conditioner unit is an excellent choice. It has no connecting pipes between the indoor and outdoor units and no outdoor unit, and comes with universal wheels at the bottom for easy movement. For example, the Midea 2-horsepower inverter mobile air conditioner unit has an integrated cabinet design. Simply plug it in and press the remote control twice to use it, making it convenient and quick. Its rated cooling capacity is 4400W, suitable for an area of 15 - 23㎡, and can well meet the cooling needs of a general container mobile house. In actual tests, in a 36℃ room, after turning on the strong cooling mode, the temperature of the whole room can drop to around 27℃ in about 15 minutes, showing a significant cooling effect. The heating mode can also quickly raise the room temperature at low temperatures.
  2. Improving ventilation conditions: Ventilation equipment such as exhaust fans and ventilation windows can be installed on the container mobile house. Exhaust fans can accelerate the circulation of indoor air, expel hot air outdoors, and lower the indoor temperature. Ventilation windows can increase the air inlet and outlet channels on the premise of ensuring safety, forming natural ventilation and improving the stuffy indoor environment.
  3. Using shading facilities: Installing shading awnings, shading curtains, and other facilities on the exterior of the container mobile house can effectively block direct sunlight and reduce the house's absorption of heat. For example, installing shading panels on the roof and walls can lower the indoor temperature by several degrees and alleviate the stuffy feeling when there is no air conditioning.
  4. Adding insulation measures: Insulate the walls and roof of the container mobile house, such as adding insulation materials like rock wool and glass wool inside the walls, or laying insulation layers like insulation bricks and insulation coatings on the roof, to reduce heat transfer and keep the interior relatively cool.
  5. Utilizing natural cooling methods: Place water basins, wet towels, etc. indoors. The evaporation of water absorbs heat and has a certain cooling effect. You can also open doors and windows at night and use the relatively cool night air to lower the indoor temperature.
