Container Mobile House Roof Insulation
Admin September 15, 2026
Insulation for the roof of container mobile houses can be achieved through methods such as adopting a broken-bridge structure, adding insulation layers, using high-efficiency insulation materials, optimizing roof design, and adding temperature control equipment.

Adopting a Broken-Bridge Structure
To address the thermal bridge effect of metal container walls, a broken-bridge lining structure can be employed. Fill the space between the steel frame and the interior wall panel with rigid polyurethane foam, and install rubber insulation pads at the frame connections. This can reduce the heat exchange efficiency between the interior and exterior of the container by approximately 40%, effectively minimizing heat transfer.
Adding Insulation Layers
- External Insulation Layer: Install insulation materials such as polystyrene boards, polyurethane foam boards, or rock wool boards on the exterior surface of the roof to form an insulation barrier and reduce heat transfer.
- Internal Insulation Board: Install fire-resistant gypsum boards or moisture-proof membranes on the interior layer of the roof to jointly control indoor humidity and temperature, enhancing insulation effects.
Using High-Efficiency Insulation Materials
- Sandwich Panels: Choose sandwich panels with aluminum foil reflective layers to reduce heat absorption by reflecting sunlight, while the intermediate polyurethane foam layer blocks heat conduction.
- Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs): Use standard construction methods with structural insulated panels (SIPs) or autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks to improve roof insulation performance.
Optimizing Roof Design
- Raised Roof: Increase the air circulation space by raising the roof, utilizing the principle of hot air rising to reduce indoor heat accumulation.
- Sloped Roof Design: Adopt a sloped roof design to increase natural lighting while lowering indoor temperatures through natural ventilation.
Adding Temperature Control Equipment
- Air Conditioning or Floor Heating: In extreme climates, install air conditioning or graphene floor heating systems to actively regulate indoor temperatures.
- Ventilation Ducts: Install ventilation ducts on the roof or walls to promote air circulation and lower indoor temperatures.
