Container Living House Design

Admin September 17, 2026

The design of container living houses requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors, including structure, functionality, customization, and performance.

Structural Design: Container living houses are centered around steel-frame structures. For example, the packing-box units produced by Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. utilize a fully steel structural framework. The measured yield strength of the framework reaches 235MPa, and under a 12-level wind load, the maximum deformation of the walls is only 1.2mm, significantly below the national standard limit of 3mm, demonstrating excellent wind and earthquake resistance. The structure is optimized using professional 3D software and assembled by reasonably combining steel plates of different specifications (ranging from 1.2-6mm) that are cut and pressed, along with profiled materials, ensuring overall stability. The exterior of the container can be sprayed with personalized logos according to demand, balancing practicality and aesthetics.

Functional Design: The interior space employs a modular partition design. For instance, a standard container can be divided into two independent sleeping quarters or one office area plus one storage room, supporting the拼接 (splicing) of multiple containers to form large office areas or canteens, catering to the needs of long-term on-site scenarios. The design accommodates multiple functions such as accommodation, office work, and dining, meeting diverse needs across different usage scenarios through flexible combinations.

Customized Design: Standard specifications ranging from 20 feet to 60 feet are provided, along with support for customization of size, layout, and functionality. For example, foldable container mobile homes, when folded, occupy only one-fifth of the volume of their expanded state. A single shipment can carry 10 folded modules, increasing transportation efficiency by approximately 233% and reducing long-distance transportation costs by about 22%. Storage space requirements are only 20% of those for expanded products of the same specifications, and on-site expansion can be completed by just two workers in 30 minutes, significantly enhancing deployment efficiency.

Performance Design: The core materials used are corrosion-resistant steel plates and eco-friendly panels, combined with shipbuilding anti-corrosion techniques, resulting in a service life of over 20 years. The air-insulation design effectively improves sound and thermal insulation performance, adapting to different climatic conditions. In terms of portability, the foldable design incorporates volume compression and rapid expansion technologies, balancing transportation economy with on-site deployment convenience, meeting the dual needs of temporary or long-term use.
