Container House with One Living Room and One Bathroom

Admin September 17, 2026

Container houses can be designed with a layout of one living room and one bathroom, and there are already mature products available in the market. The following provides an explanation from four aspects: design feasibility, product types, functional features, and price ranges.

In terms of design feasibility, the flexibility of modular container houses provides a foundation for their one-living-room-and-one-bathroom layout. Taking the temporary accommodation area of the Nagoya Asian Games as an example, the modular container houses used there employed standardized designs, integrating functional areas such as bathrooms and living rooms into independent units. Space division was achieved through assembly and combination. This design approach not only ensures functional integrity but also facilitates rapid setup and dismantling, meeting the needs of temporary accommodation scenarios.

Regarding product types, one-living-room-and-one-bathroom container houses on the market mainly fall into two categories. One type is fixed assembly products, such as 18-square-meter insulated container houses made of color-steel or sandwich panels. These are prefabricated in factories with interior finishes, including a living room, bedroom, and independent bathroom, and can be directly transported to the site for installation, priced at approximately 5,000 yuan per set. The other type is expandable mobile products, such as double-wing folding expansion boxes, which achieve space expansion through mechanical structures, for example, expanding from a single room to 'three rooms in one', including a living room, bedroom, and bathroom, with basic finishes and convenient transportation, starting at 5,500 yuan.

In terms of functional features, these container houses emphasize practicality and comfort. Bathrooms are usually equipped with basic facilities such as toilets, sinks, and simple shower units. Some products adopt waterproof materials and moisture-proof designs to adapt to different climatic conditions. The living room and bedroom areas are divided through partitions or furniture layouts, and some products also reserve electrical outlets and ventilation systems to enhance the living experience. Additionally, modular design allows for the addition or removal of functional modules according to needs, such as adding a kitchen or storage space.

Regarding price ranges, the price of one-living-room-and-one-bathroom container houses is influenced by materials, area, and functional configurations. Basic models, such as the 18-square-meter insulated type, are priced at approximately 5,000 yuan per set, suitable for short-term temporary accommodation. Expandable models, due to their higher mechanical structure and transportation costs, start at 5,500 yuan but offer better space utilization and flexibility. Users can choose appropriate products based on their budget and usage cycle.
