Container House Toilet

Admin September 15, 2026

The toilet design in container houses is usually compact. Taking the container dormitories at the Nagoya Asian Games as an example, each household has a toilet. Although the space is limited, it meets basic usage requirements, and some customized container toilets can achieve more flexible functional layouts.

Common Design Features of Container House Toilets

Taking the container dormitories at the Nagoya Asian Games as an example, each unit consists of two households, with each household planned as a two-bedroom and one-living-room space, equipped with a toilet, a bathroom, and a dressing room. The toilet space is relatively narrow but meets basic usage requirements, with facilities such as toilets and sinks being complete. Some container house toilets adopt an integrated design, integrating toilets, sinks, shower stalls, etc., into a compact space, and improving space utilization through reasonable layout. For example, some customized container toilets can achieve humanized layouts such as gender-separated areas and barrier-free compartments to adapt to different scenarios.

Applicable Scenarios and Advantages of Container Toilets

Due to their modular and movable characteristics, container toilets are widely used in temporary or emergency scenarios such as construction sites, outdoor festivals, camping sites, and cultural and tourism attractions. Their advantages include:

  1. Short construction period: Most of the work such as internal compartments, sanitary ware, electrical circuits, ventilation, and drainage in the container body is completed in the factory. After being transported to the site, only the connection of water, electricity, and sewage is required, and it can be put into use in a short time.
  2. Strong site adaptability: No complex foundation construction is required. They can be placed on hardened flat ground or gravel ground, and the number of compartments can be expanded through the splicing of multiple containers to meet the usage requirements of different numbers of people.
  3. Sturdy structure and environmental protection: Qualified container bodies adopt galvanized steel structural frames with thermal insulation wall panels, featuring anti-rust, heat insulation, and wind resistance properties. The internal walls and floors are mostly made of easy-to-clean materials, making daily cleaning convenient. Some container toilets are also equipped with sewage treatment systems to achieve the recycling of domestic water.

Functional Expansion of Customized Container Toilets

According to project requirements, container toilets can be further customized with functions such as adding wet-dry separation designs, smart sanitary ware, ventilation and deodorization systems, etc., to enhance the user experience. For example, some high-end customized container toilets adopt glass curtain walls or industrial-style designs, combining practicality and aesthetics, and are suitable for commercial activities or scenic spot facilities.
