Simple Sketch of Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

Drawing a simple sketch of a container house can be done as follows: First, draw a rectangle as the main body of the container, and then add details such as doors, windows, and line decorations.

Basic Outline Drawing

  • Main Body Shape: Use a ruler to assist in drawing a regular rectangle as the main frame of the container house. The length-to-width ratio of the rectangle can be adjusted according to personal preference, generally with the length being 2-3 times the width to reflect the elongated characteristic of containers.
  • Three-Dimensional Effect Representation: Draw a short diagonal line at the top-right and top-left corners of the rectangle, forming a certain angle with the sides of the rectangle. Then, connect the endpoints of these two diagonal lines with a straight line to form a parallelogram. This parallelogram gives the container a certain three-dimensional effect, making it not look completely flat.

Detail Addition

  • Door Design: On one side of the rectangle (usually the longer side), draw a rectangle slightly smaller than the width of the rectangle as the door. You can add some simple lines to the door, such as door handles and door seams, to make it look more realistic.
  • Window Drawing: On the side or front of the container, draw one or more small rectangles as windows. The size and number of windows can be determined according to the size and design style of the container.
  • Line Decoration: On the surface of the container, you can draw some horizontal or vertical lines to simulate the metal plate splicing marks of the container. These lines do not need to be overly complex; a few simple strokes will suffice.

Color Filling (Optional)

  • If you want the sketch to be more vivid, you can use colored pens or paints to color the container house. Common container colors include blue, red, and yellow, which can be chosen according to your preference.
  • When coloring, pay attention to keeping the colors even and neat, avoiding uneven coloring or going beyond the outline.
