Container House Rental Price List
Admin September 16, 2026
The rental prices of container houses vary depending on their specifications, region, and configuration. Specific prices need to be calculated comprehensively based on the actual situation.

I. Benchmark Prices by Specification The rent of container houses is directly related to their area. Common specifications and corresponding prices are as follows:
- 9 square meters (3x3x2.8 meters): The daily rent starts at approximately 3 yuan, and the monthly rent starts at approximately 90 yuan. These houses have compact spaces and are suitable for short-term single occupancy or temporary office use.
- 18 square meters (3x6x2.8 meters): The daily rent starts at approximately 6 yuan, and the monthly rent starts at approximately 180 yuan. With expanded space, they can accommodate 2-3 people or serve as small studios.
- 21 square meters (3x7x2.8 meters): The daily rent starts at approximately 7 yuan, and the monthly rent starts at approximately 210 yuan. These specifications offer more complete basic functions and are suitable for short-term family transitions or long-term rentals.
II. Impact of Regional Differences on Prices Rent levels vary significantly across cities due to differences in supply and demand and costs:
- First-tier cities (such as Beijing and Shanghai): Monthly rents may be 20-30 yuan higher than the benchmark prices. For example, the monthly rent for an 18-square-meter house in a first-tier city may reach 200-210 yuan, primarily driven by land costs, transportation expenses, and market demand.
- Second- and third-tier cities: Rents are close to the benchmark prices or slightly lower. The monthly rent for an 18-square-meter house may remain around 180 yuan, and even lower in some areas, making them suitable for tenants with limited budgets.
III. Additional Fees and Configuration Costs In addition to the base rent, the following fees need to be calculated separately:
- Deposit: Usually starts at 3,000 yuan, with the specific amount determined by the house specification and merchant policy. For example, when renting a 21-square-meter house, the deposit may reach 3,500 yuan.
- Air Conditioning and Insulation Layer: Installing an air conditioner adds 40-50 yuan per month in fees. The cost of insulation layer renovation needs to be negotiated with the merchant and is suitable for tenants with higher requirements for living comfort.
- Transportation Fees: Local transportation starts at approximately 500 yuan, with cross-regional transportation fees increasing with distance. It is necessary to confirm with the merchant before renting whether these fees are included in the total price.
IV. Rental Recommendations
- For short-term rentals (1-3 months), it is recommended to choose the daily rent model. For long-term rentals (6 months or more), prioritize negotiating monthly rent discounts.
- Tenants in first-tier cities need to reserve a higher budget, while those in second- and third-tier cities can focus on comparing merchant configurations and services.
- Before signing the contract, clarify the deposit refund conditions, maintenance responsibilities, and fee details to avoid subsequent disputes.
