How Much Does It Cost to Rent a Container House

Admin September 17, 2026

The rental price of container houses varies significantly due to factors such as region, size, configuration, brand, and supplier, with no unified standard. A comprehensive assessment based on specific needs is required.

1. Differences in Charging by Time
Prices vary significantly across different rental periods. Taking monthly rentals as an example, among common specifications, a small 3m × 3m container house has a monthly rent of approximately 90 yuan, a medium-sized 3m × 6m one costs about 180 yuan, and a large 3m × 7m one is around 210 yuan. For daily rentals, the daily rent for a Yuanhao brand container mobile home in Beijing is 6 yuan. However, some suppliers may charge by "unit" or "square meter". For instance, the daily rent for some container mobile homes in Beijing can reach 3,500 yuan per unit or 666 yuan per square meter. Such high prices may include high-end configurations or be for special purposes (such as temporary offices or commercial displays).

2. Impact of Configuration on Price
The basic rental price usually only includes the main body of the house, and additional configurations require extra fees. For example, after installing an air conditioner, the monthly rent may increase by 40 - 50 yuan. Upgraded configurations such as insulation layers, security doors, and lighting systems will also drive up the total price. In addition, some suppliers offer "all-inclusive packages" that include basic furniture and water and electricity connections, and these packages are more expensive than bare house rentals.

3. Regional and Brand Differences
The economic level of a region directly affects rental costs. First-tier cities (such as Beijing) generally have higher prices than second- and third-tier cities due to high land costs and strong demand. In terms of brands, the rental price of well-known enterprises (such as Guangdong Guangsheng Integrated Housing Technology Co., Ltd.) is 6,300 yuan per period, while that of small and medium-sized suppliers (such as Foshan Jingcheng Housing Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.) may be as low as 817 yuan per period. However, it should be noted that low prices may be accompanied by differences in service or quality.

4. Deposits and Long-Term Discounts
Most suppliers require a deposit, usually starting from 3,000 yuan, which is refundable if there is no damage upon the expiration of the rental period. Long-term rentals (such as those lasting more than half a year) may be eligible for discounts. Some suppliers offer incentives such as "free usage rights after renting for a certain period", which need to be confirmed through negotiation with the supplier.

Suggestion: Before renting, clarify your needs (size, configuration, period), compare quotes from multiple suppliers, and verify contract terms (such as deposit refund and maintenance responsibilities) to avoid hidden costs.
