Mosquito Screens for Container Houses

Admin September 16, 2026

When installing mosquito screens for container houses, it is necessary to comprehensively consider factors such as material, installation method, light transmittance, and mosquito prevention effect. It is recommended to choose screen products made of stainless steel or fiberglass, with non-drilling installation and a mesh count of ≥18.

1. Material Selection is Key
Container houses are mostly used for temporary living or outdoor scenarios, so mosquito screens need to be corrosion-resistant and anti-aging. Stainless steel material (such as 304 stainless steel) is the top choice. It has strong rust resistance and a long service life, making it suitable for humid or sandy environments. Fiberglass material has the advantages of good weather resistance, flame retardancy, and high light transmittance, and its price is relatively affordable. For example, the high-strength PP fiber screens from the YanYe brand and the odorless polyester encrypted screen meshes from the Jufa brand have both improved durability through material upgrades.

2. Installation Method Should Match the Structure
The window frames of container houses may be made of metal or have an irregular design. Traditional drilling installation can easily damage the structure. Non-drilling magnetic or Velcro-type screens are more suitable. For example, the Qianbaihui self-adhesive mosquito screen is fixed with strong adhesive magnetic strips and can be adapted to window frames made of aluminum alloy, plastic steel, etc., and leaves no residue when torn off. If the window frame is flat, you can also choose fiberglass screens with a combined installation method, such as the products from the Yuehang brand, which achieve stable fixation through combined frames.

3. Balance Light Transmittance and Mosquito Prevention Effect
The mesh count (mesh density) of the screen directly affects the mosquito prevention effect: A mesh count of over 18 can block most mosquitoes, and a count of 20 provides better protection, but it may affect ventilation. If high light transmittance is required, you can choose nano-coated screen meshes (such as those from the Shibeili brand), which have encrypted mesh holes that take into account both mosquito prevention and light intake, or choose high-transmittance fiberglass meshes (with an open area ratio of ≥75%) to ensure a bright interior.

4. Scenario-based Recommendations

  • Kitchen/Grease Area: Give priority to nano-coated or easy-to-clean materials (such as the Shibeili mosquito screen). Grease can be washed off easily.
  • Living Areas for Children/Elderly: Choose aluminum alloy screens with narrow frames (≤20mm) and no sharp corners to avoid bumps.
  • Mobile Panel Houses: Choose a detachable design (such as the container-specific screens from Jiangsu Huijue) for easy transportation and reuse.

5. Tips to Avoid Pitfalls

  • Avoid choosing iron wire screens as they are prone to rust and have a short service life.
  • Be cautious when buying low-priced off-brand products, which may have issues such as easily damaged screen meshes and insufficient magnetic strip adhesion.
  • Accurately measure the window frame size before customization and leave a margin of 1-2cm to prevent over-tight installation.
