Container House Interior Fit-Out
Admin September 10, 2026
Container-style house fit-out should advance systematically through foundation work, interior finishes, and exterior decoration. Steps are as follows:

I. Foundation work and main structure
- Site prep and foundation pour: First level the site, clear debris, and compact the soil, then pour a reinforced-concrete foundation sized for thickness and bearing capacity. After the concrete fully cures, crane-lift prefabricated container modules into place and weld connection points into a solid main frame.
- Structure optimization and openings: Per design, cut window and door openings in container walls with professional tools, keeping edges flat and dimensionally accurate. To strengthen stability, add rebar or steel supports around openings.
II. Interior fit-out
- Insulation and daylight: Fill wall cavities with glass wool or rock wool to buffer outdoor temperature swings; install large floor-to-ceiling glass or skylights for natural light and openness, while watching glass thermal performance and seals.
- Concealed works: Fix walls with light-gauge steel studs, then run plumbing and electrical lines, leaving switch, outlet, and fixture positions for later service; extend exhaust ducts outdoors with backflow prevention.
- Ceiling and wall finishes: Base the ceiling with foam board and OSB face, then apply fire-cured roll waterproofing against leaks; fill stud gaps with foam adhesive, cover with high-density sticker film or fire boards, then gypsum board, putty sanding, and latex paint.
III. Exterior decoration and style
- Outer frame dressing: Wrap the container outer frame with treated wood, metal panels, or composites for appearance; build steel frames around windows for leisure balconies or plant racks for function and layering.
- Special style conversions: For a personalized look, partially bury containers as a “modern cave dwelling” using soil insulation to cut energy use; or stagger boxes, cut walls, and install curved glass for industrial or minimal styles—always ensuring structural safety and waterproofing.
Notes: Confirm container material grade (e.g., anti-corrosion level) before fit-out to avoid later rust; all remodeling must meet local building codes, and structural changes need review by a professional engineer.
