Container House Factory Aerial View

Admin September 16, 2026

Currently, there is no publicly available specific video footage directly related to the aerial view of container house factories, but we can understand their general situation through relevant cases and factory characteristics.

Factory Production Mode

Container house factories mostly adopt a modular construction mode. They break down buildings into independent modules, complete the manufacturing in the factory, and then transport them to the construction site for assembly. For example, CIMC Industrial Park in Da'ao Town, Xinhui District, is the world's largest production base for special containers. Since 2004, it has applied the industrial thinking of container manufacturing to house construction. Its business has covered more than 20 countries and regions worldwide, with over 200 projects implemented. There is also China Construction Integration Building Intelligent Manufacturing (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., which divides an entire building into several independent 'room modules', completes the manufacturing on the factory assembly line, and then transports them to overseas sites for assembly.

Factory Production Advantages

  • Efficient and Fast: The three-story multi-purpose office building in the factory area of COSCO Shipping Nantong Shipyard is precisely assembled from 96 specially made house containers. The container manufacturing takes 6 days, and the on-site assembly takes 5 days, completing the building construction in just 11 days.
  • Quality Control: Production in the factory allows for better control of product quality. All preliminary processes are completed in the factory, including water and electricity installation, decoration, and even interior soft furnishings, which are integrated into each module.
  • Lower Cost: Factory prefabrication can reduce on-site construction volume, lowering transportation and labor costs. For example, Qidong Container Factory under COSCO Shipping Development has carried out lightweight design for container beams, using 6mm steel plates bent into shape to replace traditional heavy square tubes, controlling steel usage and reducing transportation costs.

Factory Production Process

Generally, structural design is carried out first to determine the container size and combination method according to different needs. Then, container manufacturing is carried out, completing welding and other processes in the factory. Next, interior decoration is carried out, including the installation of water and electricity, fire protection, and sanitary facilities. Finally, the manufactured modules are transported to the site for assembly.
