Container House Base Installation
The installation of the base for container houses requires selecting appropriate methods based on different types of houses and following strict steps to ensure stability.

I. Foundation Treatment
Different types of container houses have varying requirements for foundations. Foldable container houses and fixed residential container houses have relatively low foundation requirements. They can be used simply by leveling the ground, and if conditions permit, a cement floor can be poured and drainage ditches can be set up. The foundation requirements for packing-box container houses are relatively simple. Strip or pier foundations can be made, or they can even be placed directly on the ground. However, residential prefabricated temporary buildings have higher foundation requirements. A certain area of concrete foundation needs to be poured, and the house should be fixed to the foundation with expansion screws. The foundation cannot be reused during demolition.
II. Installation Steps
- Bottom Frame Installation: On a level ground or workbench, connect the bottom corners of the container to the bottom beams with hexagon socket bolts, but do not tighten them temporarily. After adjusting the diagonal difference of the bottom frame to be ≤3mm, tighten the bolts.
- Secondary Beam Installation: Install π-shaped secondary beams according to the positioning hole positions on the long beams. Fix them with m5.5×19 self-tapping screws and reinforce the tops of the secondary beams and bottom beams with st4.8×16 round-head drill tail screws.
- Floor Laying: Lay the floor substrate (magnesium oxide board) along the 6-meter direction. After cutting the corners according to the chalk lines, make marks at the center lines of the π-shaped beams. The joints of the floor panels should coincide with the center lines of the π-shaped beams and be fixed with st4.2×38 cross-head flat-tail screws at intervals of 300-350mm.
- Finishing Treatment: Grind the floor joints as a whole, apply PVC special floor adhesive, lay the floor covering, expel the air, and weld the joints.
III. Installation Points for Special Types
For foldable container temporary buildings, first check the stability of the steel wire ropes. After lifting the main frame, unfold it and place the support rods. Push open the walls one by one and tighten the fastening screws. Finally, lift the house to the predetermined position. A duplex container house requires 4 people and 8 hours to complete the assembly. The internal wiring is pre-arranged in the factory, and only the connection of wires and installation of circuit breakers are required on site.
