Concrete Prefabricated Walls for Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

Concrete prefabricated walls for houses mainly include three types: concrete prefabricated panel walls, prefabricated walls for integral prefabricated concrete houses, and prefabricated fences, each with its own characteristics and application scenarios.

Concrete prefabricated panel walls: These are primarily made of Portland cement and steel reinforcement frames, pre-fabricated into panel structures using molds, and are classified into solid and hollow types. The hollow design reduces weight and cost, offering advantages such as simple construction and lower expenses. Early on, they were commonly used in brick-concrete structural buildings, with standard specifications including a maximum span of 4.2 meters, widths mostly of 500mm or 600mm, and thicknesses mainly of 120mm and 150mm. However, they have significant drawbacks: poor thermal insulation, insufficient structural stability, weak load-bearing capacity, and the tendency for cracks and leaks at panel joints. Currently, this type has been banned in the construction field, with cast-in-place slabs becoming the mainstream alternative. Nevertheless, prefabricated concrete wall panels, as one of the prefabricated building components, are still used in some projects.

Prefabricated walls for integral prefabricated concrete houses: These walls are prefabricated in factories as wall modules and then quickly assembled on-site. A 100-square-meter house can be assembled in one day, improving construction efficiency by 90% compared to traditional methods, reducing costs by 60,000 yuan, and minimizing construction waste by 90%. They are suitable for temporary construction site housing, rural self-built houses, and other scenarios. For long-term occupancy, sound insulation cotton and thermal insulation boards need to be installed to enhance comfort, and waterproofing treatment should be applied to roof joints to prevent leakage.

Prefabricated fences: These are prefabricated in factories using materials such as cement, magnesium chloride, perlite, and sand, and are assembled on-site into an assembled structure using embedded parts, columns, and bottom beams. They have a compressive strength of 21.3~31.0Mpa, support various decorative styles, and offer advantages such as reusability, short construction periods, and the ability to be constructed in winter. Each wall panel is approximately 4.1 meters long and 2.2 meters high, with wall panels available in different sizes and columns being square pillars with a side length of 50cm. Compared to brick fences and color steel fences, prefabricated fences have significant advantages in terms of cost, environmental friendliness, and safety. They have gradually replaced traditional fences and become the preferred temporary construction fences in the construction engineering field in Tianjin and its surrounding areas.
