Concrete Prefabricated Houses in Fujian
The development of Fujian Province in the field of concrete prefabricated houses is mainly reflected in three aspects: policy, industrial practice, and project application.
At the policy level, the Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development actively promotes the development of prefabricated buildings. Focusing on the key component of prefabricated concrete stairs, it organized the compilation of the "Technical Guidelines for Prefabricated Concrete Stairs in Fujian Province (Trial)", which was officially issued on June 23, 2025. These guidelines aim to enhance the standardization, modularization, and lightweighting of prefabricated concrete stairs, guiding widespread application by market entities in the construction sector, thereby promoting the overall quality improvement of prefabricated buildings. Additionally, Fujian Province has issued the local engineering construction standard "Technical Standard for Prefabricated Concrete Structures in Fujian Province", jointly compiled by Fujian Provincial Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Fujian Construction Engineering Prefabricated Building Research Institute Co., Ltd., and implemented after review and approval. This standard replaces the original "Technical Specification for Prefabricated Concrete Structures in Fujian Province" DBJ 13 - 216 - 2015, providing a more scientific and standardized basis for the design, construction, and acceptance of prefabricated concrete structures.
In terms of industrial practice, through policy support, Fujian Province has actively established prefabricated building industrial bases, achieving remarkable results. These industrial bases have not only improved the production efficiency and quality of prefabricated components but also significantly reduced construction waste, with a reduction of over 70%. This achievement is not only beneficial for environmental protection but also reduces construction costs, promoting the sustainable development of the concrete prefabricated housing industry.
Regarding project application, although the Fuzhou International Trade Tianqin Huayue project adopts a composite structure of a steel frame filled with concrete, rather than a pure concrete prefabricated house, it successfully applies steel structure technology in the civilian residential sector, reflecting Fujian's active exploration in building structural innovation. This project provides new ideas for the development of concrete prefabricated houses, namely, through structural innovation, organically combining different materials and processes to enhance the overall performance and quality of buildings.
