Chongqing Mobile Toilet Planning

Admin September 20, 2026

The mobile toilet planning in Chongqing covers multiple districts such as Yuzhong District, Shapingba District, and Jiangbei District, with layouts tailored to different scenarios and needs.

Yuzhong District: The 2025 mobile toilet project for old residential communities focuses on the removal and replacement of five mobile toilets located at Zhongshan 2nd Road, the Emergency Center, Eling Bus Station, and two locations in Caiyuanba. The project will be equipped with standardized toilet stalls, sinks, management rooms, and tool rooms, with an estimated investment of 1.3026 million yuan and a construction period of three months. After renovation, the toilet facilities will be more comprehensive, better meeting residents' daily needs and improving the regional sanitation environment.

Shapingba District: In 2025, plans are in place to build new mobile toilets in 10 high-traffic areas, including the Hongyan United Front Scenic Area and Fengwen Public Rental Housing Park, with five locations such as Songlinpo Parking Lot and beneath Shimen Bridge already under construction. The new toilets strictly adhere to urban public toilet standards of Class II or above, with clear technical specifications: the main structure must withstand winds of up to 12 on the Beaufort scale and earthquakes of magnitude 7, with a service life of no less than 10 years; design adaptability for special groups is mandatory, including barrier-free access and handrails; the ratio of toilet stalls strictly follows the principle of "more for women than men," with each toilet having at least one third toilet to accommodate the needs of mothers with infants and individuals with disabilities.

Jiangbei District: To address the "toilet access" issue for the elderly at the on-site application locations for public transportation senior citizen cards (codes), three single-unit mobile toilets and one vehicle-mounted mobile toilet have been deployed to provide services. These toilets are not permanently installed but are dynamically adjusted based on on-site foot traffic, such as increasing the number or extending service hours during peak business periods to ensure efficient resource utilization. This model highlights the core advantage of mobile toilets in "flexibly responding to needs," offering a replicable solution for temporary, high-mobility scenarios.

Overall, the mobile toilet planning in Chongqing adheres to the principles of "demand-orientation, standard-leading, and flexible adaptation," covering multi-dimensional scenarios such as old residential community renovations, tourist attraction services, and care for special groups. By combining technical specifications with dynamic management, it promotes the refined upgrading of urban public service facilities.
