Case Study | Modular Infinite School of the Future
The latest "Infinite 6" education module installation is made up of 12 container-house pack prefabricated units. It is seen as a bold exploration of the school of the future—future education will inevitably change along with social relationships. Future schools will take place across a wide range of settings in society, and prefabricated construction provides strong technical support for that shift.
This exhibition set up five booths in total, all built with standard box-type units provided by our company, on an 18x18 m site. In plan, "Infinite 6" uses a crossed "X" layout that naturally divides the 18x18 m site into four independent small plazas.
The "X" shape creates varied spaces. The whole structure remains open; each unit module is a complete space, with multiple open connections. More standard box-type units can be added without limit. When modules are combined, they can grow infinitely in three dimensions, and the building becomes a series of infinite spaces that flexibly adapt to different sites and functional needs.
Main prefabricated components are finished in the factory and assembled directly on site, ensuring efficient and precise construction in a short time while also guaranteeing building quality. The support structure uses a beam-and-column frame. Floors and non-load-bearing partitions—elements that can be changed easily—make dividing and combining interior classroom spaces simple.
A school should be a shared gathering space, a center, and an incubator for social interaction—not only involving students and teachers, but also engaging the whole community. "Infinite 6" explores future education models for the school of the future and the possibilities of prefabrication and modular construction in educational architecture.
