Can Container Houses Be Equipped with Air Conditioners?
Container houses can be equipped with air conditioners.

I. Installation Feasibility For ordinary fixed residential containers, installing a household air conditioner can meet the demand. During the design and manufacturing stages of container mobile homes (including movable panel houses), air conditioner power plug holes and drainage pipe positions are usually reserved, providing a hardware foundation for subsequent air conditioner installation and greatly facilitating the installation and use of air conditioners.
II. Installation Method During installation, the air conditioner bracket can be welded on top of the container house. After fixing the main unit on the bracket, hang the indoor unit directly inside the house, and the air conditioner can be used normally after being powered on. The specific installation steps include:
- Determine the air conditioner position: Select an appropriate installation position for the air conditioner according to the layout and usage requirements of the container house, taking into account both the cooling effect and aesthetics and safety.
- Prepare installation materials: Prepare the required air conditioner brackets, screws, wires, and other materials according to the installation plan.
- Weld the air conditioner bracket: Weld the air conditioner bracket firmly on top of the container house to ensure its stability and load-bearing capacity.
- Install the air conditioner main unit: Install the air conditioner main unit on the bracket and fix it to prevent the main unit from shaking or falling.
- Install the indoor unit: Select an appropriate position inside the house to install the indoor unit and connect the wires and drainage pipes.
- Debug the air conditioner: After installation, debug the air conditioner to check whether the cooling effect and drainage are normal.
III. Air Conditioner Types and Applicable Scenarios The air conditioning system for container houses includes three main types: ceiling-mounted, vehicle-mounted, and wall-mounted. Ceiling-mounted air conditioners are suitable for container houses with larger spaces and higher cooling requirements; vehicle-mounted air conditioners are more suitable for container houses with strong mobility, such as temporary office spaces and field operation houses; wall-mounted air conditioners are suitable for container houses with smaller spaces and higher requirements for installation convenience.
IV. Cooling Requirements and Costs Currently, mainstream 1.5 - 2 horsepower air conditioners on the market can fully meet the cooling requirements of 20-foot container houses (approximately 15 - 20 square meters). However, the air conditioner itself needs to be rented or purchased separately and is not included in the quotation for the container house.
