Camping Site Outdoor Mobile Toilet

Admin September 28, 2026

The camping site outdoor mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public, featuring mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation.

I. Basic Components Mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Among them, the fecal sewage storage tank or treatment device is the core component, responsible for collecting and treating excreta; sanitary ware includes toilets or squat pans to meet different usage habits; walls and roofs provide privacy protection and protection against wind and rain; washing equipment such as washbasins and faucets ensures basic hygiene needs; and mobile devices endow it with mobility, facilitating transportation and redeployment.

II. Type Classification

  1. By structural form: Mobile toilets are divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are usually independent units suitable for small-scale needs; composite-structure toilets are composed of multiple units and can be expanded into large public toilets.
  2. By mobility method: They include lifting and handling-type mobile toilets (relying on mechanical handling) and powered and towed-type mobile toilets (with their own power or towable for movement). The latter offers higher flexibility and is suitable for scenarios requiring frequent position adjustments.
  3. By sewage treatment method: They are classified into water-flush and waterless suction-type, circulating water-flush type, and dry-packing type. Water-flush types require connection to a water source and sewage pipeline; waterless suction types use vacuum pumps to suction excreta; circulating water-flush types utilize filtration and disinfection technologies to reuse water; and dry-packing types use biodegradable bags to collect excreta, eliminating the need for a water source and sewage facilities.

III. Application Characteristics Mobile toilets can be customized in layout. For example, in a case in Zhejiang, eight independent single-room squat stalls were set up, equipped with rainproof facilities, public washbasins, and sliding windows; some products adopt metal carved panel walls and double-roof designs, combining thermal insulation and aesthetics. Their core advantage lies in their reusability, enabling rapid deployment to fixed or temporary demand locations such as temporary events, remote areas, or camping sites, effectively addressing the issues of long construction periods, high costs, and poor flexibility associated with traditional toilets.
