Camping Portable Toilet Restroom
A camping portable toilet restroom is a facility that can be moved as a whole and set up at fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers.

I. Structural Composition A portable toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and moving device. The fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect excrement, preventing direct discharge from polluting the environment. Sanitary ware includes toilets or squat pans to meet different usage habits. Washing equipment such as washbasins and faucets facilitates user cleaning. The water tank supplies water for the flushing system. The moving device ensures the toilet can be easily transported and installed.
II. Classification Methods
- By structural form: Portable toilets can be divided into single-structure and composite-structure types. Single-structure toilets are relatively independent and suitable for scenarios with limited space or single needs. Composite-structure toilets are composed of multiple single units, meeting larger-scale usage requirements and having clearer functional divisions.
- By moving method: They can be classified as lifting/handling portable toilets and powered/trailer-mounted portable toilets. Lifting/handling types rely on lifting equipment or manual handling and are suitable for short-distance movement. Powered/trailer-mounted types are equipped with power systems or trailer devices, enabling long-distance transportation and higher flexibility.
- By sewage treatment method: They include water-flush and waterless-suction portable toilets, circulating water-flush portable toilets, and dry-packing portable toilets. Water-flush types are similar to traditional toilets, using a large amount of water but providing high cleanliness. Waterless-suction types use vacuum pumps to suck up excrement, saving water and being environmentally friendly. Circulating water-flush types purify and recycle sewage, suitable for areas with scarce water resources. Dry-packing types pack excrement with biodegradable materials for easy subsequent treatment.
III. Features and Advantages Camping portable toilet restrooms have the advantages of easy transportation, reusability, mobility, combinability, and convenient transport. They can be quickly deployed according to the actual needs of camping sites without complex infrastructure construction, saving time and cost. Meanwhile, their diverse designs and classification methods can meet the usage requirements of different scenarios and scales, providing a convenient and comfortable toilet environment for camping activities.
