Biological Bacteria-Degrading Mobile Toilet
A biological bacteria-degrading mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly sanitation facility that utilizes microbial decomposition technology to treat excreta without the need for a water supply and drainage network.

Core Functions and Principles This toilet degrades excreta through microbial strains. Its device typically consists of a squatting pan, a fermentation and degradation tank, an exhaust pipe, and a PLC control system. The fermentation tank is equipped with microbial strains and a stirrer, achieving mixed degradation of excreta through constant-temperature heating (approximately 800W) and mechanical transmission. Microorganisms decompose organic matter at suitable temperatures, converting excreta into harmless substances. The treated gas is discharged in compliance with standards, and the residue can be transformed into organic fertilizer, enabling resource recycling.
Technical Features and Advantages
- Energy-saving and efficient: It consumes 3-5 kilowatt-hours of electricity per day, with relatively low energy consumption. The replacement cycle for microbial strains is 3-6 months, keeping maintenance costs manageable.
- Water-free flushing design: Taking the biological degradation toilets used in recreational vehicles as an example, some models trigger the opening and closing of movable baffles through photoelectric induction or automatically stir the excreta with a motor when a person sits down, mixing the excreta with biological bacteria for fermentation without the need for water flushing.
- Odorless: The microbial decomposition process inhibits the generation of odors, providing a good user experience.
- Long cleaning cycle: For single-person daily use, some models require the residue to be emptied every two months, while others need it every 30 days, reducing the frequency of cleaning.
Application Scenarios and Certifications This technology is an organic waste treatment technology supported by key projects of the National 863 Program. It has been granted 20 patents, and the products have achieved standardized production and passed microbial safety certifications. Its application scenarios are extensive, including public areas such as Beijing Olympic venues and the Badaling Great Wall. Moreover, it has been included in the government's subsidy list for the toilet revolution, reflecting its technological maturity and policy support.
Environmental Significance The biological bacteria-degrading mobile toilet, through microbial decomposition technology, avoids dependence on the traditional water supply and drainage network, reduces water consumption and sewage discharge, and converts excreta into organic fertilizer. It aligns with the concept of sustainable development and represents an important innovation in the field of environmental protection.
