Introduction to Beijing Mobile Toilets
Beijing mobile toilets come in a variety of types, including tent-style, steel-pipe-structured, single-unit, and modular types, and have developed special products such as barrier-free, eco-friendly, and luxury models to meet different needs.

Tent-style toilets are a typical representative of Beijing mobile toilets, known for their portability and flexibility. Their main structure is made of tent materials, allowing for quick setup and dismantling, making them suitable for temporary large-scale events or areas with high foot traffic. For example, during the 2025 commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, such toilets were set up on the east side of the Great Hall of the People and the west side of the National Museum of China. In March 2026, Beijing Environmental Sanitation Group comprehensively upgraded the tent-style toilets in the Tiananmen area (west side of the National Museum of China), using stainless steel and aluminum alloy materials to enhance structural stability. The蹲位 (squatting positions) partitions were raised to 1.8 meters, and independent partitions were added to the urinal troughs to improve privacy. After the upgrade, barrier-free restrooms were added, equipped with toilets, safety handrails, SOS alarm buttons, and other facilities. Each toilet position was equipped with handrails, hooks, storage racks, and intelligent status indicators. Measures such as improved floor design, the addition of sealing rings, and the installation of exhaust fans were taken to strengthen odor control, resulting in a layout of 142 squatting positions, 5 barrier-free toilet positions, and 128 urinal positions.
Steel-pipe-structured mobile toilets feature a steel pipe as the main frame, with four lifting rings on the top for easy transportation and installation via forklift. Their standard dimensions are 2.4 meters in length and 1.5 meters in width, providing a stable structure suitable for scenarios that require long-term fixation but flexible position adjustment.
Single-unit and modular mobile toilets are provided by enterprises to meet different scale requirements. Single-unit toilets are compact in size, suitable for places with scattered foot traffic. Modular toilets can be expanded to include multiple toilet positions through modular assembly and can be extended to include facilities such as sinks and urinals, making them suitable for medium- to large-scale events or temporary communities.
Special-needs mobile toilets further subdivide functions: models with barrier-free access facilitate use by disabled individuals; eco-friendly biological toilets employ microbial degradation or recirculating water flushing technology to reduce water consumption; luxury mobile toilets are equipped with air conditioning, lighting, exhaust fans, and other facilities to enhance user comfort, making them suitable for high-end events or scenic spots.
Beijing mobile toilets have become an important part of urban public service facilities by upgrading materials, expanding functions, and implementing intelligent transformations, balancing practicality, privacy, and environmental protection.
