Barrier-Free Mobile Toilet Design
Barrier-free mobile toilet design must strictly adhere to relevant standards, meeting the needs of special populations in terms of space, doors, internal configurations, and other aspects. The specific key points are as follows:

Space Design: Full consideration must be given to the activity needs of wheelchair users. The overall space must meet the requirement for a wheelchair turning circle with a diameter of no less than 1.5 meters, and the standard area should be no less than 4 square meters. The space dimensions of barrier-free toilet stalls must also accommodate wheelchair turning. For new construction and renovation projects, the net dimensions of toilet stalls should be no less than 1.80m × 1.50m, ensuring that users have sufficient space for turning around and moving.
Door Design: The clear opening width of doors should be ≥ 800mm. Outward-opening or electric sliding door designs are preferred, and electric sliding doors must have anti-pinch features to ensure user safety. If inward-opening doors are used, a wheelchair turning space with a diameter of ≥ 1.50m must be reserved. A horizontal grab bar with a height of 900mm should be installed on the outside of the door for easy gripping by users, while a door-closing handle and emergency latch should be installed on the inside for timely opening in emergencies.
Internal Configurations: Install an L-shaped combination safety grab bar toilet with a horizontal length of ≥ 700mm and a vertical height of 1.4 - 1.6m. The horizontal grab bar should be 250mm - 350mm from the top edge of the toilet, and the vertical part of the L-shaped grab bar should be 1.40m - 1.60m high, rotatable on the side near the wheelchair, and positioned 150mm - 250mm in front of the toilet to provide stable support for users. A low-positioned sink with a knee clearance of 650mm at the bottom should be installed for the convenience of wheelchair users. Urinals should be equipped with vertical grab bars and horizontal auxiliary bars with a height of ≤ 400mm. An emergency call device should be installed at a height of 0.4 - 0.5m from the ground, with an installation height of 400mm - 500mm from the ground, supporting activation in a fallen state for timely assistance in emergencies. The toilet height should be set at 450mm, and the flushing device should be operable with one hand or be automatic-sensing; the toilet paper dispenser should be 150mm - 450mm from the top edge of the toilet for easy access in a seated position.
Other Requirements: The floor should be made of non-slip materials and kept free of standing water to prevent users from slipping. An internationally recognized barrier-free sign should be installed at the entrance of the toilet for easy identification by special populations. Safety grab bars should be installed securely and be able to withstand a vertical load of 1.3kN to ensure user safety.
